fark about being annoying. as long as they do the job we could get out of this bog of a league.

    imagine a team like this

    green

    simpson onough new cb toare

    -----------furlain barton-------

    townsend------------------- hoilett

    -------------tarrabt--------------

    -----------remy--------------

on paper that would **** the league. the last thing we need is no legs derry starting every game. we need a guy (tuff nut) to break up play in the middle jenus, furlan cant do this and derry will not be able to play 3 games a week.

That is exactly what Faurlin does do....!!

Before his injury in the prem he had the highest stats by a mile (half a season in) for won tackles in midfield, compared to the likes of Gerrard, De jong, Mikele, Barry and the rest in that position. He is brilliant at breaking up play and then distributing the ball. He did it in the prem and can easily do it in the championship as he's done before.

Along with that stat he had the most passes completed joint highest with Liverpools Lucas
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I like this team a lot.

            1. Its hardworking - Full of the players that actually do/have given a ****. (Hoillet maybe someone with a point to prove however)
            2. Goals
            3. Experience
            4. People who fight...

Mackie may get a shout if we dont get Andros, plus he is banned...

But as a whole, decent... a team to build on and something that will deffo do good in the prem IMO

Looks like hes not even living in London anymore? From his twitter it seemed he's staying with Jamie Mackie a while...unless there is actually a Mackie Towers hotel somewhere?!

He did have a big old pad in Kew getting done up I think. Remember it being over taken by squatters last year. Unless he has flogged that & upped sticks to France pre empting his move.

Would seem to prove what BS the media myth about the other players hating him is then wouldnt it..... Many on here believe he would be poison in the dressing room and ignore the fact the unrest and rubish behind the sscenes and among the squad was a lot worse after he left then when he was there.

I am really hoping to see the old Faurlin and that Harry gives him a chance as he could really shine again in the championship. I also think Jenas could be very good for us in that league also. I was very impressed by him at the end of the season in a bad period he did better than i imagined him to to be fair.

Joey's good pal with Derry & Mackie. Derry actually wants JB back and I think he said that in a recent interview. Joey was told by Hughes that he was not welcome at the training ground and the board went along with Hughes' recommendations. If some love is thrown JB's way from Harry I think he'll stay. He likes his ego rubbed that's all.

Hughes has a lot to answer for where Barton is concerned and I am not his biggest fan but our team and squad would have had a lot more charachter with him in it.

In pics from last year, Barton use to hang out a lot with Mackie, Derry, Kenny, Hill and Bradley Orr. Our team was looking decent then! What a shame things went downhill so quickly!

I hope your right Del, but I fear Faurlin may never regain his pre injury form. Very few do with that sort of injury.

And Jenas will have to improve on his Championship form at Forest last season - very average.

                            But hope springs eternal.

As for Barton, he only has himself to blame for the position he finds himself in.

I actually thought Post injury, Faurlin and Granero looked brilliant when thrown in together agaisnt City away, Chesea home, Spurs away etc. Maybe too much too soon, but they were excellent. Was later dropped and struggled to get back in. Probably an issue relating to having soooo many midfielders, it wasnt working so the manageer felt compelled to try something else.

Plenty go on to make full ACL recoveries and play at the highest level again e.g. Shearer, Van Nistlerooy. The surgeries are a lot more advanced and less invasive these days too.

He's also a highly motivated/committed pro with a positive attitude which always helps the rehab process.

The Palermo loan was just an unlucky experience because he struggled to settle there and barely played.
