not sure about rowly but legs at right back DEFINITELY, he could be immense there.

i'm sure legs was a defender in his wimbledon/palace days as well...

Fair enough, but we are turning into Palace rejects-i thought all dodgy players with attitude problems ended-up at Palace.I hate crossing the river-but if the traffic of players continues like this then it will be The Glaziers all the way.

Bit harsh that. Sure he's had his problems with injury, but certainly not past it. The likes of Ainsworth ar past it, not Rowly.

he averages FOUR good games a season.

Try and name me more than FOUR each season for the last few years?

Yeah ok then as you say so, he's clearly been crap for us over the last few years, epsecially when he's been the driving force and heartbeat of the team on numerous occasions and leading by example... That's obviously why he's been made captain and retained the armband through different managers. Yes he's useless, and maybe 4 good games is a bit generous on your part.

Almost as ridiculous as your Mint sauce post.

Let us reserve judgement and see what he is like when he returns from injury. Have to say that the biggest loss to us in the close season was not blackstock but harabin - all our players look like jimmy five bellies, and those returning from injury look miles off the pace.

                Name the games

                4 last season

                for starters

                I can think of 2

the bloke cant play for more than a third of a season and is a liability considering he's supposed to be the "engine"

either legs or rowley would be good there,NEITHER will play in midfield with the options we have(in midfield).

you seem to be missing what rowly does for the team;he was by far our best attacking midfielder when he played on the right;he used to turn the full backs inside out until he was given cmf role and had to curb his attacking play for the team

It must be coincedence then that everytime Rowlands plays out points per match is greater than when he doesn't play. Vine, Agyemang and Buzsaky were all out for significant periods of time last season but we still picked up points with Rowlands in the heart of midfield. When he got injured our results dropped off.

I know you hate cricket but ask anyone how often Flintoff has great matches and they'll say not that often but his presence lifted the England side and the players around him. Rowlands is the same for us. He is the only one who leads. He is the only midfielder who can defend and his positional sense is the best at the club with him we are a better team than without.

Rowland wouldn't get into my starting 11.
He is an average player that was playing because he is the best captain.
I would drop him and make watson captain
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

No give the captaincy to Matt Connolly,He is our player. Also don't see the point of giving it to Watson then Some-one else in Jan IF we don't keep him

if all the players had the same desire and will to win as rowlands does,we would gain promotion.think rowlands and watson together are similar players, but what a tough mid with those two playing.this league demands the physical side of the game and the occasional flair, think our side has both now,and once we gel were gonna be a joy to watch
