So Ned and Clint it is then!

I reckon Ned will be a revelation at CB in the Champ.

PS. I hope there's plenty of time before the start of the Russian season..... just turning him around will take 3 months.......

I would have been disappointed If his wage was around £30-40. At least we can now bring a couple of good youngsters like Townsend.

No you're not. He is a quality player but unfortunately the timing of his signing meant he failed to deliver due to fitness. He tried to perform at Premier league level when he simply wasn't ready and as a result has now been branded as a poor player.
We all know he's not poor but he did let us down so it's understandable that many want him gone, particularly with the wage being so high.
If he returned and was fit and ready for the start of the season he would have been a huge asset - but with the history it would have been painful once he made his first mistake (which would happen as it does to even the very best) because as we know, the Loftus Road crowd isn't the most patient or forgiving.
Therefore, if the deal gets done for £12M, it makes good business sense, even though we would be losing a potential top draw defender.

As sky says the fee has been agreed but I'm sure I read somewhere Samba hated Russia and wanted a move back to London. He might have a choice of taking the big bucks and going back to Russia or taking a pay cut but staying in London...... He MIGHT choose to stay with us........ maybe......

Hope no mate. We need to clear out our massive wage bill.

Tbf hitman we don't know any of the ins and outs at all. We might hav pushed him out? Harry / TF might have said we need to get rid and the Ruskis have offered £12m, we have accepted but Samba hasn't agreed terms?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

He has a contract with us, so I don't think we can force him to go.

Also didn't he almost walk out on the Russian team to come back to us, so I am not sure why they would even want him back.

I also thought that mate but then remembered his disappearing act after realising relegation was inevitable. Probably wanted out from then.
