  • Green Over Cesar???

This just proves why Arry isn't a good manager.

There is absolutely no way Green could compete against the likes of Cesar, yet I've seen Arry shifting ground too often.

I can't believe some of the fans were whining how Cesar made few mistakes.

Some actually said Green is a better choice.

We just don't know how to rate footballers properly and "we" includes me as well.

I feel so sorry for Cesar, with him we would have had more draws.

He is at the level of Buffon, Castillas and so.

We must reduce expenditure. Cesar going will save us more money than Green going. Yes, a far cry from the double top-goalkeeper buying frenzy of one year ago.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I don't think it really matters whether Cesar is better or worse than Green because from the moment we drew with Reading away, there was no way Cesar was going to be with us next season....

Green is nowhere near the same class as Cesar, but I think Harry knew he would be off in the summer so probably wanted to keep Green onside.

I agree with you on that, now we have to cut down on expenses as we are down in championship; I am talking about the past, Arry's indecisiveness and where his indecisiveness may lead this season.

To be honest, it was a waste not to use Cesar more often...

the focus is that Arry isn't a good manager, his best 11 always changed too much.

I know he is going, we need to make sure, who will be sub players and who will be the starters b4 season starts.

If we are how we were, we will end up changing formation every game and wouldnt be able to fix our rotation patterns etc

that indirectly means he was expecting us to be in the championship b4 even trying out his best to keep us up.

Cesar likes to make things look spectacular, giving the impression he is better than he is.

Made a save from David Villa in the second half last night, flinging himself acroos the goal and sending the ball some distance. Thing is, it could have gone anywhere. Pat Jennings would probably just have caught it in one hand.

I don't think Green is a great deal different from Cesar. They are both great shot stoppers on their day but I don't think either of them handles the ball particularly well. I'm sure that they can both do an equally good job with a half-decent team in front of them, something that Green hasn't had in quite a while.......

Cesar had injuries last year, whenever he was 100% he started.

To be honest before he joined us I'd heard of Cesar, probably seen him on the odd occasion but knew little about him. The Cesar I saw last season had an incredible January but aside from that did not look comfortable with the English game, made mistakes, did not command his box and flapped.

Rob Green isn't faultless but if money were no issue I'd go for him over Cesar anyway.

I know Cesar had a bad car crash a couple of years back. Maybe he isn't the same player and we need to accept that.

                            This.

Cesar has a better CV than Green, that's about it.

Both great shot stoppers (saw both pull of genuine world class saves last year) yet both have down fallswith handling. In fairness, it's Cesar's commanding of his box I think more than handling, whereas we all know Green is prone to the odd howler.

All in all, taking their CVs out of it, don't think there's too much in it. We need to shift 1 off the wage bill as having 2 keepers on the wedge they are is madness, and seeing as Green looks far more committed & Cesar will have more interest, makes sense to shift him.

The way the Championship is (ie a fair amound of long balls to be expected), I'd actually feel abit more comfortable with Green next season. Cesar is very much a continental keeper.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Cesar was dogged by a niggling injury plus there is no way he would want to be between the sticks for a championship club.
Im really glad green will get his turn now. He has shown he is loyal and made some pretty decent saves in the last games.
We need hard graft not glamour dives and punches.
