Cesar got an injury at Inter Milan & was never the same.
I'm not even going to keep reading this thread from here on, but what I will say is Green's been on England & the Pl a long time, Cesar's lack of experience cost QPR points, you don't get relegated on one goal, but that pathetic goal we let in away to Aston Villa(route1) Green would of collected, Julio didn't & we went on to lose. That goal IMO sealed relegation.
I'm not saying Julio is a bad goalie, I'm just saying in England Green is more suited, lets also face fact Brazil have a brilliant team in front of him( as was the same at Inter ) but for QPR he was inconsistent ( which is criminal for a goal keeper can I just add ) & got 1 clean sheet to Greens 5.Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Rob Green isn't faultless but if money were no issue I'd go for him over Cesar anyway.
I know Cesar had a bad car crash a couple of years back. Maybe he isn't the same player and we need to accept that.

With us he was under constant pressure and appeared to struggle to cope with it. Not quite the same as playing for Brazil.
Nothing against Cesar, seems a decent bloke, but maybe best for all concerned if he moves on.

Look, I'm not saying that Green is better. Just that they are different and, overall, there is not a lot to choose between them. Given the choice between the two for the coming season in the Championship, I would choose Green, for reasons already stated by others.

Cesar is playing for Brazil at the moment, but I am not even sure he will play for them in the next world cup. At the moment they can afford to experiment because they do not have to qualify. Most countries did not field their first teams for the Confederation Cup and used it to experiment (as did Brazil). Come the world cup it will be different and I am not sure Cesar will figure.
We were very excited when he came to QPR, but I like others on this forum don't think he lived up to expectations. Green came and he had a horrendous start. However he did not let this discourage him, he kept at it, even when Cesar came in and by the end of the season I believe he did better than Cesar. This is the type of player we want to keep at the club. We are not going to keep 2 first class goalkeepers and there is little chance that Cesar would be fit enough to start every game in the Championship.
As somebody else has already stated this thread has little point to it because Cesar is not going to be with us in the Championship. I am not too upset about this and think Green will do just as good or a better job.
