  • Cerny, Ben Haim, Bothroyd, Hulse, DJ Campbell - all released

Just been annouced that Cerny, Tal Ben Haim, Jay Bothroyd, Rob Hulse and DJ Campbell will officially leave QPR today.

Gutted that DJ has been released. If fit, he can do it just like he did with Ipswich. One year contract could have been given to him to prove himself.

I really don't agree with DJ Campbell but I don't know the whole story, if it means playing 1 striker & being able to keep hold of Remy & have Johnson/Zamora/Mackie back up then fair enough
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

      I would estimate:

      Cerny 5-10k per week
      Ben Haim 10-15k
      Bothroyd 25-35
      Hulse 7-10
      Campbell 30-40

So thats anything between 77-110 freed up in wages per week, not bad.

Is it purely that Campbell is an R that people want him to stay. from what I saw every time he payed in the hoops he was pretty shocking. Bothroyd was more consistant and managed too score a couple of decent goals. Don't let the fact that he is one of us cloud your judgement.

Impressive return. Injury cant be that bad.

To be honest I am not all that bothered he is gone.

Understand your point but he is proven in the Championship!

I thought Dj might have been offered another year but its best for both parties for him to move on. Lets hope this is a sign we are getting closer to signing a new forward.

Releasing all these players a season to late. Should have got rid when were a Premiership side. I feel almost all of those players could offer us something in the CCC.

I thought they may keep DJ as back up simply because this is his level and he can score at this level, however, he may have asked if he's likely to be first choice if he extends, been told no and though sod this, I cant have a 3rd year with next to no games at the club so move on.

Ben Haim has just been a ridiculous signing by Harry. If he wasn't planning on ever playing him why bring him in ion the first place. Complete waste of money.

Ben Haim looked solid when he played, would have kept him and DJ tbh. Oh well, time to move on.

Also, no way was DJ on 30-40k. 20k max.

Apart from his first game , he was pretty solid for us.
