We are being ridiculed by Arsenal by offering £1.5m. I am sure we can sell Cesar at a higher price to one of the Italian bidders.

Italian press are saying that our asking price is £3.5m. More like it IMO.

Agreed that 3.5mill should be starting point .. Lets grow some balls and hold out for once. .. No longer soft touches with transfers..

No chance a club will pay that given they know we are loaded up on his 70k pw wages AND want rid - and people seem to forget we got Cesar on a free transfer!

Because we got him on a free, doesn't mean we can't sell him for a proper fee, he was out of contract then, he is now on a contract with us, unless I've missed something
in the current market, I think £4-£5 mill is a fair price given that he still at least 3 years, probably more at the top level
keepers can play well into mid/ late thirties

He wasn't out of contract. Inter wanted him off their books - he had another year to run 0 and allowed him to leave without a fee because they didn't want to pay his wages at 80k pw. We were the only club in for him.

Correct, he still has 3 years to run.

And yes, 33 for a goalkeeper is still young.

fair enough but that doesn't mean we shouldn't get a decent price for a keeper who is in good form, now Brazil's number 1
sure we want to cut our wage bill but that doesn't mean we should drop our pants and get done, again

Aren't the Gooners trying to sell Mannoni (whatever his name is) to Sunderland for £2 mill at the moment?

That's got to be worth another couple of mill ......

fair point, but he is 33 years old and still an excellent keeper. Yes, he has a few shockers last season, but to be fair, the whole team was a shambles especially the almost non existent defence in front of him. There were many games when QPR wee still in the match because of his numerous saves.

At the Emirates in Oct, Arsenal would have been out of sight if it wasn't for him. Chelsea would probably have done the double over QPR too.

If he is playing in a decent side he can easily keep 15 clean sheets in the Premier League.

QPR should aim to get as much as they can for him, and his exploits over the last two weeks will have put him firmly in they shop window.

As for the comment about getting in Freidel or Scwarzer to teach Green, is the latter 23 again?

Look the thing is QPR want/need to sell.Seizure dosen't want to play for us in the champs, so all teams interested know this and will not offer huge amounts imo, simply because
we are looking to lower the wage bill. He's only worth what others are willing to pay
