Come on Vblock, give us some evidence-based opinions for once, instead of shooting from the hip.
I would also like to distance myself from v blocks opinion on Tony.
In fact I certainly don't feel at all similar about our owner.
He has backed 2 managers and the 2 men have let him down.
Vblock has more hatred than for Redknapp, yet he gave harry 20m to spend on improving the team and yet Reading still finish above us.
No you have to blame 2 very well backed managers and I feel for Tony.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It was well documented that HR had told TF that he would like Samba but also said we would have no chance in getting him so TF went out of his way to secure his signature. He also said that he had put a relegation clause into his contract in which Samba was HAPPY to sign as he was prepared to see out his contract no matter what division we were in and the clause was reported as being £50k a week.

ok so who gave the green light to paying the Russian club £12 million quid for a defender of Samba's quality? who negotiated Samba's (and the other flops we are lumbered with) big wages to lure them to the club. Samba got a reported 4 and half year deal worth nearly £4 million on top of his £12 million fee. Thats £16 million for a player of Samba's quality ...good bit of business? and he is just one of many we have that is costing us millions for what? relegation thats what. Massive gamble spending all them millions luring these players to our club and the gamble failed. Now we are reliant on the likes of Fernandes for years to come as we cannot sustain these enormous wages. Fernandes holds his hands up and says "Sorry i was a bit naive" and all is forgiven? Two years of failure and he has turned us into a laughing stock. He should step down and let Amit take the lead again as he knows how to run the club without pissing money up the wall every five minutes. If you feel like you can trust the clubs future to the like of Fernandes then thats up to you but i find him a patronising media hungry carpet bagger out to make money with his eyes on this venue in London. If only he had bought West Ham instead....

Not for £12 million quid and eggs all into one basket, last throw of the dice, all or nothing, January transfer to stay up kind of signing. Should have told Anzi to do one when they said they wanted £12 million.

Whatever we paid for Samba, don't you think HR would've said £12m was far too much for him? Isn't that part of HR's job?

Load of players in the history of the game have gone for big money and it's not worked out. I'll give you two current players, Torres and Carroll.

You say TF had brought us two years of failure yet you pin no blame on Hughes or Redknapp, the people who picked the team and tactics, or are you now suggesting now that TF does all that too?

Do you think Amit opposed all these transfers? If he did, don't you think he would've resigned, like he did over ticket prices? If TF was being as reckless as you suggest, don't you think the rest of the board would've stopped him?

This anti-Fernandes tirade is becoming an obsession and needs to stop. Either that or seek some treatment fella.

Samba never looked like scoring once last season, admittedly our set plays were THE worst I have ever seen at any level of football, but still he was never dangerous.

                BTW 100% not BS.
While I agree with a lot of your post, samba would've scored against villa twice if it wasn't for Guzman pulling off world class saves

Not an obsession more a growing opinion as i notice other fans also starting to question Fernandes and his motives. I notice he got some abuse on twitter the other day again as their is a growing discontent among fans. Think back to our Championship winning season under Amit and Warnock then consider our first season under Fernandes control and our recent humiliating season which followed it. We have gone backward and it's Tony that calls the shots and ultimately stops the buck. He has to take responsibility for our decline and the amount of debt we have amassed just as he would have lapped up the plaudits if the two seasons had gone the other way. Two years of huge mistakes and gross mismanagement both at team manager level and at board level has led us where we are today. Utterly reliant on Fernandes and his ilk to constantly bail us out on a weekly basis up to the point where we would become a Portsmouth if he or his backers get bored and walk away. You may be ok with that? i am not. I worry for the long term future of my club when if Fernandes plans continue we will have sold our traditional home and moved on to this plastic venue that we dont know as of yet who will ultimately own it or pay for it. He has admitted himself his failings and blamed it on naivety. Naivety is something unexpected from succesful businessman like Fernandes and makes me wonder whether he has the best intentions of the club at heart , remember he is no fan, or if he has his own intentions and those of his backers top of his priority list. Tbh i am a cynical **** and it will take a lot more to convince me than it has you it seems that Tony is "good" Chairman and that my club is safe in his hands. So far he has failed utterly and made a hash at most things he has attempted....still he tweets a good tweet and that seems enough to convince a few and we do have a plane and the worlds first 3D programme to crow about :-)

                    @Vblock

I don't think you and I are going to see eye to eye over TF and the board. I would add however, that apart from the loan for the stadium, which is likely to be funded by sponsorship from Tony's Air Asia, the debts are owned by the shareholders, so if they ever walked away, it's their debt they're walking from.

I get the feeling you WANT TF to fail so you can say 'I told you so'. It would be advisable you support the board for the sake of our club.

Nelsen was the one thing stopping us from being battered week in week out. Hill only just about scraped a PL performance together most weeks so we needed someone that was A) Willing to come to a struggling club and B) had enough experience to replace Nelsen. At the time Onouha was not mentally fit either so what choice did the club have really?

I reckon if Samba had scored those 2 goals against a VERY LUCKY Villa then there would be no debate.

Vblock mate he was taken for a ride by probably the most unscrupulous agent that football has had the misfortune to meet. Even the most experienced of "football people" have been taken advantage of by this

Hoping for a fantastic season and us to be in top 6 with Fernandes proving me wrong and settling my fears of debt and overspending. I hope my cynicism dissapears under the weight of training grounds/new stadiums/good player aquisitions and if not a debt free future for my club one that can be managed by the club itself. I am not hoping for him to fail i am hoping for him to prove his doubters wrong and become a good owner/chairman.

How can people be sure that we will get a rich owner in if Fernades leaves us?
Some people should be very careful regarding what they wish for.

Some posters on this site have stated many times that they want us to stay small. Well, it could be they will get their wish sooner rather than later...
