yes they seem to share a lack of desire for the club common to most players.

but they are not in the same boat - not even close.

barton spent last year competing for the french title and the ones at the club spent the year playing like donkeys.

so barton would be useful for the team and the others would not.

he may be a big mouth idiotic tw@t - but at least he can kick a football

But Mbia won the French league with Marseille! Maybe the leagues just pony?

All I remember from Barton was that he was terrible most of the time he was with us. Another player who does ok in a good team but gets found out in a team with less gifted players?!

        imagine

imagine the power and desire of barton in our midfield he would be the best midfield [player in the whole division

        so we have

        ....................green.............best goalkeeper in division

        .....................samba...........best defender in the division

        .....................barton ..........best midfielder in division

        .....................remy.............best striker in division

THATS WHY WE ARE FAVOURITES TO GO UP,THE RS ARE GOING UP,WITH CAPTAIN JOEY BARTON ON THE WHEEL

lol we have way too many leaders in our mist, adding another one will not bring balance imo. Having the best players in the division and also having players undermining eachother is not going to work. Furthermore all our unprofessional players not showing respect and what not off pitch is just a recipe for catastrophe.

In Marseilles they are saying that Barton will be back at Marseilles if QPR buy out his contract. Not going to happen.

I think the club need to sit down and talk to Barton (if they haven't already) and make it clear what his options are. They need to explain that he is a QPR player and that they are not going to buy out his contract and that he either decides to stay or he goes and finds himself another club.

Think Barton will bite the bullet, take pay cut and end up back at OM. Club playing hard ball, hoping he will blink first.

@OldBigHead1 will the club end up having to pay him off or are they hoping he agrees to cancel his contract?

If we let him go on a free he should ne negotiating with OM about using that saving to top up his wages. I would not give him a penny to leave other then allowing a free transfer.

Marseilles are in Europe next year, but at the moment they are broke, so there is no chance they will up the amount they pay Barton, especially as this would create a precedent with the other players.

He may have no alternative but to accept a pay cut. Meanwhile he's due back at Harlington for 9am training tomorrow, so if this isn't all resolved by then and he fails to show then he'll be in breach of contract.

Do you think the press will be at Harlington tomorrow to see who turns up?
