So far, the squad defence is going to be Traore, Yun, Samba, Hill, Onouha, Ehmer, Harriman, Simpson. Probably need one more CB, perhaps Dunne.

Have a feeling Traore may leave in which case we'll need a good, experienced LB.

We should be rock solid at the back this season.

Yun...... Yet to play a game so unproven
Samba - Not fit , cumbersome and not the player blackburn had ....so plenty to prove !!
Hill..... Slow and two years too old
\onuha .......Lacks concentration and yet to find his best position
Ehmer .....Too inexperienced at the moment so plenty to prove
Harriman.....See Ehmer
Simpson .....Good reliable decent player who has less to prove than any of the others

Dunne.....Injury prone ....been out for year .....Think we would be very lucky to un earth another Ryan Neison

Sorry but looks very weak to me ...Unless we can keep hold of Samba and he gets fit

Maddix think your being overly tough there mate im with Richard I think that looks like a decent defensive unit

I would not be against getting Fabio back again as he can play both flanks and think we looked most solid last season when he was left back and Nedum right although for me this season Nedum has to play in the middle

Maybe I am being a bit harsh and I'm not allowing for a lesser quality of opposition this year ...... But the likes of Harriman , Yun and Ehmer are young and lacking the experience of a tough league like the CCC........Samba has a hell of a lot to do to warrant his fee and wages and get back to the beast he was when playing for Blackburn ........The others ( Simpson apart ) including Onuha ( who I have nothing against bearing in mind he has had a difficult year personally) just don;t seem solid enough for me .......Maybe some of the lack of my confidence is down to having Cesar in goal last year .....Whilst a good shot stopper he was never authorative enough , bellowing out orders to his back four etc

Maybe with Green ( who is always liable to the odd ricket ) there will be some sense of unity / confidence in the back 5 as a unit ....something which we've missed since Kenny and the promotion winning back 4

Pre season will do Samba the world of good, he'll be fit and back to his best come august...if he does a bit too well he may be off in Jan haha

Samba wasn't fit last season. He will be fine next year, Hill will be solid. Simpson and Onouha will be good at Championship level with Rob Green behind. Need another centre back and LB and i think it will be a good championship defence . We gotta remember there are no RVP, Aguero or Suarez in this league.

I think our defence is ok. We need to strengthen the midfield and bring a proven striker.

After a pre-season with Harry I doubt samba will be ' not fit' .

Would expect us to add maguire to that list.
