  • The Sado's of 'Hanwell Community Forum' against our training ground.

Yes i did previously delete this thread by accident when i wanted to edit it!

Just read ANOTHER article on our training ground being taken to judicial review in the Brent and Kilburn times online.
And before i go on a mini rant, i want to just say how sad i find people who are like the 'Hanwell Community forum'. They dont appreciate a good thing in
there community when they see it and sados like them get my goat up.

Firstly - As everyone has said, The place is an absoloute dump so unless they would rather it stayed a dump, they should pipedown.
There giving it the 'Oh its was handed to QPR illegally and were not anti-football'.. What a load of old tosh! Its ridiculous. Of course its anti-football!
Anything that is built in London nowadays to do with Football is protested by sado residents who hate football saying 'Well it aint happening, down my road'

Secondly - Is Hanwell Community forum actually an organisation? Or is it a group of 5 people who made the name overnight, over a few drinks?
People who start protests against this sort of thing which is GOOD for their community, really live a sad walk of life and probably need lives in the first place.

Thirdly - Does anyone actually think these people are protesting apart from any other reason than sniffing out a bit of compensation ie. Money...
All of a sudden they care and want to claim back their dump of open wasteland for their community?.. doesnt quite make sense, does it?..
They will also need to get their facts straight if there going for the, 'Tax payers will be paying for it angle'.. Makes me laugh.

Lastly - I've gota message for the Hanwell forum..
If you cared that much about your community wasteland, then maybe you should of thought of doing something to improve it BEFORE we came along..
rather than letting it rot like a dump for years!

    Rant Over.

It would seem your "Rant" is more a collection of good points.

It's been a dump for over 20 years now, why all the interest now and what plans do they have?

Next time you delete a thread... let one of the mods know and we'll bring it back from the dead.

Unbelievable people have the cheek to moan about something like this.. Especially residents and especially after 20 years of it being a dump!

Thanks! Still quite a newbie as you may see

You could be right, but anything passed the Iron Bridge might be classed as Hanwell?

I don't know Warren Farm but it sounds like a right khazi. The residents should be pleased that we're putting something decent on the site.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Take our QPR rose tinted glasses off and are the locals getting a bad deal from the proposal?????

My view is they are not, this is going to enhance there local environment, but they clearly have their knickers in the twist over something!! what are we missing or not picking up on which has made a few so irate

To be fair, no-ones happy when major changes are proposed next door. If the local council there are like the local council here, they'll be listened to with promises of having their concerns addressed and then ignored and they'll do whatever they want.

Might be good news for us as QPR fans to have a huge new complex and development at Warren Farm, but I have some sympathy for those that live nearby.

As a primary school teacher in the hanwell area i have seen the plans with some people who work for the borough. I don't think the residents realise what we as schools are getting, and more importantly what the childrena of the area are getting.

There will be possibly 6 or 7 pitches for small sided games, which i have been led to beleive we can use regularly for matches or tournaments & also used for rugy tournaments if necessary.
In the summer these pitches then turn into cricket pitches - covering the majority of the sports played to competition level in primary schools in Ealing.

I was also led to beleive that these pitches are available for the local community to use after school hours.

I'm not saying they will not be a cost to use them but I'd rather pay for a maintained pitch safe for children & adults (Ie no chance of sliding onto a piece of grass) than pay a pittence for the dangerous thing we have there now!

Maybe I should join this Hanwell Group??
