You know how Charlie Oatway was named after the 1970's QPR football team?

I had a mate who was named after the 1980's Chelsea football team.

    He was called Crap Smith.

The thread title reminded me that Ian Gillard never seems to be invited to these 'Legend' appearances. Anyone know what he's doing these days?

In the mid 1990's when I was living in Sandhurst in Berkshire, he was running a contract cleaning business.

I actually arranged the mortgage for a friend of mine who bought his house.

It's a shame that he is not seen to be regarded as a legend by the Club.

He played for QPR in the late 60s all the way until 1982. Hpw much more could he have done to earn some respect?

Think he is renowned as a legend around the club, he appears in the Legends book and he is on my dream team mug, perhaps he is happy not making appearences anymore, what a way to finish though, his last game was the FA cup final replay !
