The main difference in my opinion is the fact the midfield was changing every week last season. The season before we had Tarbs, Barton, Samba and SWP/Mackie. They knew the roles and as such we created a lot more chances week in week out for Cisse/Zamora.

Last season the midfield changed every game. As such we often were overrun and when we did get the ball we lost it as players were not used to playing with each other. This obviously meant chances and service dried up for Cisse who had nothing to feed off. That is not excusing his effort and application but we gave him nothing.

      Doh!

Looks like it may well end up being a case of bring him, slapping him round the face, wiping his nose, and telling him to get out there and do a job in the NPC.......

Some valid points, but I still think he only performs at the begining of his transfer to a new club..

Cisse did not want to come to England. The only reason he came was because he was having family problems and his wife said she wanted to come back to the UK. So when he first came everything was hunky dorey. Then she left, he no longer wanted to stay in the UK and that showed in his play.

PSG & Monaco are fighting it out for QPR striker Djibril Cisse. Both clubs have all made bids in excess of £20m."
