Do you really think Stanley turned up for training everyday and din't sulk/strop when he got substituted or dropped ? This type of player brings with him this sort of attitude, you only have to look at players throughout history and the mavericks always bring trouble with them but that is half the appeal. Take away the Adel's from the game and the crowds would drop alarmingly.........

And as for Adels No 1 fan above - One game against Fulham, he played well. i rest my case.
Give me Mackie ahead of Adel every day of the week. Who won the game for us at home against Liverpool... Mackie.
Who scored away at United.. Mackie.
Who turns up for training... Mackie
Proffesionalism and attitude outweighs talent everyday of the week.
You can have all the talent in the world but if you dont work hard and be proffesional, you will never become the best player you can be.
Tarbs has talent but will never be a role model and will always be 2 stone overweight.
"you enjoyed the premier league then" I beg your pardon ? you're deluded mate
so you're suggesting that we as supporters enjoy hard working **** players more than pure class and success? A team full of mackies and hill wouldn't win anything. Look at Millwall for instance.

and what a load of rubbish about players who have stinking attitudes or who don't work hard won't make it to the top. The current worlds best striker Zlatan has the worst attitude going towards his team mates and club. Players with talent will always go further then the likes of Mackie who have no talent. The two best players around Messi & Ronaldo, yes they work hard etc, but your telling me if they didn't also have the natural talent they have they would be 1 and 2 in the worlds best?@chrisrobson9

I aint deluded mate. At the end of the season all we wanted was players that worked hard so dont contradict yourself.
Cant believe after the last 2 season people wana see players like Adel with their attitude strutting their stuff again at Loftus road.
Show me a player with the talent of taraabt and the proffesionalism of Mackie. Thats what we need but it aint gona happen.
I didnt say they wouldnt make it to the top.. I said they wouldnt become the best player they can be?
You all seem to be missing the point. Read the book - Then come and tell me you want players with Adel's attitude in the team next season after the 2 season we've just had.
Dont just pick two or three lines outa what im saying. Look at the bigger picture.

Bowles was often disruptive and fell out with players and managers. He was also often in the bookies in South Africa Road at 2:30 on matchdays.
Whilst I agree, a better attitude is required in the modern game at Premier League level, I repeat, I am happy yo contend with Taarabt again, in the Championship.
If he reproduces title winning performamces again but then fails to impress back in the Premier League, then it would be time to move him on.

Maybe Lionel Messi or Ronaldo?
Whats your point then? "I didnt say they wouldnt make it to the top" ?! What do you demand as a supporter of QPR FC then? A team full of players like Mackie, full of proffesionalism, but who'll never make it to the top? So what do you define as success? 100% presence on training? I think I am speaking for all who have read this strange post, to say the least, we all are missing your point.

This guy sums up a lot of the @rseholes that sit around me in R block. Suck Mackie off cos he gees up the crowd & runs a lot.
Adel has a LOT of learning to do & needs to change a lot of his habits but you'd have Mackie over him guarantees you a one way ticket to the loony bin.
It's not a personality contest its about playing your best players & trying to win games. Over the last 3 seasons how many goals has Mackie scored compared to Taarabt? How many assists has Mackie got compared to Taarabt? How many games has Mackie won us with his amazing skills & talent?
Look forward to your reply.

Have you read the book?.
To be honest after the seasons we've had. Yes! a team full of Mackie's wouldnt go a miss. With a tad of flare in there with the right attitudes.
If you got the talent and the proffesionalism you will make it to the top. Ronaldo, practices free-kicks when everyones gone home, his a proffesional, a role model.
I dont want Adel to turn up late, not go into training. Go missing, throw strops.
Read the start again. thats my point. Dont pick words out of a paragraph, read it all and look at the big picture.
Read Warnocks book for starters, then say i aint gota point.
Theres been at least 3 posts who have said.. ' You have a point '
Or shall we just get a team with talent who train once a week and can do what they want?
Cos they have talent it should be fine right?

Lets let Adel turn up when he wants and do what he wants. Cos he has talent and is 'still learning'

I'm reading NW's book at the moment too and I sorta see where the OP is coming from. According to Neil Taarbs was a pain and he (NW) is coming across as an absolute saint with more patience than Job. (which I think is how he wants it I realise that) But AT really did push it not wanting to play here or wanting to go home there and then not reporting back on time.
But the bottom line was NW put up with it because he could see Adel would get us up.
I just finished the bit where he's talking about Chimbonda, and all he did was complain after the match at S****horpe (we lost 4-1) about going back to London as we stayed up there for Barnsley on the tues.
Anyway Neil addressed the whole squad (including Taarbs) and said we've got enough probs with Adel without him too, so he was more than willing to put up with AT. But he saw Chimbonda as someone
who could wreck team spirit and cohesion.
So bottom line is if the players will put up with him.........he's worth it
