Not got a bad word to say about j tbh.

He kept his head down and done his bit for us. He never said a bad word or slagged the club off while on the bench or out on loan.

    good luck to ya jb!

Think what you'll find is that DJ's contract has not been renewed as yet, and on July 1st he becomes a free agent. His name apparently appeared on the released list because of this situation ..(he will be free soon if said contract is not renewed) I think it's was said that if he hasn't got anything lined up........... to speak to us again. So it might well be about the amount he is on at the moment

Echo this. No world beater, and I won't lose any sleep about him going tbh (albeit I think he coulda be a very good player to have in the Championship!) - but was a pretty decent pro for us and done a job when called upon. His goals vs Soton & WBA (cup) gave me a couple of right good away days last year which is more than can be said for most of our squad
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Didn't he sign at the same time as Bothroyd, so it is possible he has the same sort of contract.

He signed a 2 year deal
                    From Wiki

                    Queens Park Rangers[edit]

On 29 July 2011, Blackpool accepted a bid for Campbell from Queens Park Rangers.[51] On 4 August 2011, it was announced that Campbell had signed a two-year deal with QPR, the club he had supported as a boy.[52] The deal was then officially completed on 4 August 2011, for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £1.2m.[53] He scored his first goal for the club on 17 September, against Woverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Campbell's first season for QPR was plagued with injury, resulting in his only being able to start two Premier League games as of 26 February.

Bothroyd never looked bothered IMO. He was alright at West Brom away in the cup, did ok against Southampton where he got the winner and had a great game against City at home last year, other than that was basically lifeless and never once used his physical presence.

No loss whatsoever, especially when you consider he was on 32k a week.

Good shout JaneM. I would guess the contracts done over that period would have similar clauses.

Think most our business was done quite late so other then DJ and Booth the rest of the contracts might not have the get our clauses.

Interesting that the contract never said anything about relegation reduction in wages

True he wasn't good in the premiership, but he could have been very good for QPR in the championship. As for him on £32k a week, how much is Johnson on?
I'd rather Bothroyd than the injury prone Johnson.
Hope fully releasing Bothroyd is because Redknapp has lined ups decent striker.

Bothroyd was total sh*te on loan at Sheff Weds, not worth gambling on
