  • Rowan Vine....

Ok so this isnt some massive news breaking story but just thought id say...

Rowan was chatting to a fella i know yesterday i think....

He said he isnt going out on loan, and that hes gonna be working very hard to work his way back into the team.

He also mentioned JM had been giving them one or two massive rollickings of late!! (which we know about, but nice to hear the players have been told whats what!) Said they havent played so well of late but that the squad is in good mood and that JM is proveing to be a ejoyable manager to work for (despite the rollickings!)...

Im glad he is staying, but by all rights he should have chalked up about 3 goals so far this season (luckily i think he realises this just as much as we do) hopefully he can get fitter, more confident, and begin to produce!!...

Rowans lucky cos like Buzsaky he is a massive fans favourite and they allways get more time from the fans.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Thing is though that many fans on this board, and I presume others too, have been giving them both a bit of stick and suggesting loaning or even selling them.

They have both had serious career threatening injuries and need time and games to recover fully and return to their best form.

Hopefully, they will be given this by both fans and JM alike.

I don't think agreeing to loan them is giving them stick.

I always maintained that IF Vine went on loan, I'd be expecting him back fit and sharp 3 months later as I'm confident he'll come good again. Far to much potential to be a good player for us to sell him.
      Your mum would love me...

There have been several people on some MB's saying Vine is a waste of space/career is finished/he will not be as good as before etc. etc., including some regulars on here.
somewhat different from wanting him to go out on loan to gain fitness.
Personally, I love the bloke, and can't wait till he's back to his best.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Benny, wanting him to go on loan is one thing - although I'd rather he stayed and played as as sub for QPR to regain form & fitness - but there have been many fans who have said he is finished and should be sold.

              scoring goals

scoring goals is a very special gift, clive allen had it barry bridges had it but rowna vine will never be a massive scorer of goals.but i like him as a left winger his ability to take players on is marvelous and he can weigh in with about ten goals a season
so i like him but not as a striker more of a winger

I agree, but as long as we dont have someone decent to play alongside simpson, vine will be our best option as a number 2 striker.

Yes he did, Allen did score a lot of goals, but how many did Paul Goddard set up for him in 79/80 or other players later at QPR & Spurs?

Most forwards need someone to create chances space etc. Rush & Lineker (for England) had Beardsley, Aldridge had Paul Walsh etc.

Vine, when fully fit, makes intelligent runs into space, holds the ball up & often sets team mates up with good passes as well as scoring a few goals.
