  • Tottenham youngster rules out QPR

Adam Smith is too good for us..........according to him.

Transfer News: Tottenham youngster Adam Smith has warned Spurs that he is not prepared to be loaned out to a club outside the Premier League.

The full back, who spent last season on loan at Millwall, believes that he has done his apprenticeships in the lower divisions.

The news will come as a blow to QPR, who are reportedly interested in bringing the defender to Loftus Road.

“I have just turned 22,” Smith told talkSPORT. “I felt like I’ve done all my experience.

“I’ve learnt my trade. This season, I have to play in the Premier League, whether by doing well in pre-season or get a Premier League loan.”

Smith was part of the England Under-21 side that lost all three games at the European Championships in Israel and he called on Premier League sides to give young English players a chance.

“I think the Premier League clubs are buying all these foreigners and not giving young English players a chance,” he added.

“I’ve been on loan a few times and most of the other lads have been on loan. “Just give them a chance. If you look at the Spanish team, some of them have even played in the senior team.

“I agree we need to give young players more of a chance.”

Fair play to him for having confidence - just hope he can back it up & make it in the PL or he will look a right wally.

He will enjoy the reserve matches then.

Got to be a hot prospect. Sounds better than Kyle Walker.

Not sure the U21s performance will help his case.

But I still wonder how he has played while being loaned out?

Silly boy he should look at the effect a loan to the championship had on Walker. If he thinks he's gonna go from a league 1 loan to first choice at a premier league club he's in for a big shock and plenty of frustration. To be fair after watching the under 21's i'd rather be looking at a couple of the norway defenders the lad who scored the first against england looked very good

I didn't see him play for the u21's however pardone my norweigian but he tore us a new ar sehole when I saw him live, when we played MK.

I'd look at using harry's connections because that's all harry offers as shi te with tactics!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Fredrik Semb Berge is his name. He plays in our national league with Odd Grenland. The same club who Fernado De Ornelas(Ex QPR) once played for. The other CB; Thomas Rogne did just leave Celtic. He is also quite good.
