I hope the club isn't thinking of trying to sell him. We got him on a free and I'd settle for the club and Joey to cancel his contract and both parties just move on. I don't think TF is in the mood to pay players off to leave because it'll start an avalanche among other players.

Besides, I think TF has already said he won't be paying players off.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Can't blame him for seeking a pay off the size of a lottery win, very few industries would allow employees to be entitled to such massive pay offs, even though they contributed nothing, critical of their employers and were complete flops.
Got to question those who drafted and signed off the contract, a contract of which appears to have no provision for relegation, bad behaviour or constant poor performances. Just 4 yrs on £70k p/w to a known trouble maker.
      You deserve what you .....

One positive. A year ago half this board saw him as a working class hero, different from all the other mercenary footballers ("our Joey..."). Now everyone pretty well seems to accept he is just another mercenary footballer looking for a massive pay off and a career promotion at the same time. The negative in all of this is that in the end he will probably get it...

If it turns out Harry can't even persuade the club to keep Barton then I doubt he will be able to win anything else. This is a player already on the books ffs.
End result would be that next season will be the same results as last year - with another new manager around November.

I feel sure that there is a provision for bad behavior. Harry has mentioned fining several players for arriving late at practice etc. I suspect all the contracts have these sorts of clauses.

He is our player on a contract, regardless or what we think of him and what he thinks of us.
If the club want to keep him, then he stays, if we don't want to keep him, he can go if he wants.
HR was saying you can't make players go if they don't want to, because they have a contract
Surely, it cuts both ways, you can make them stay if they have a contract.

                Joey can "do one".
