    ..endly?

It would be great to have the players be at a similar level of fitness and have a similar level of knowledge on tactics, formations etc, rather than the shambles we saw last season with players who had not really figured in pre-season training or matches, which could partly explain the Queens Park Strangers performance on the opening day.

I'm gonna say no i doubt it. Thats not how we do it at rangers and the transfer window for us normally doesnt start till the last day of it anyhow.

We are a last resort easy touch for wvnkers no-one else will touch with a barge pole taking advantage of our desperation.

The last transfer window (January) was basically ok, with the exception of Samba and remember he was the one the fans really wanted and were really excited when he came.

It wasnt as bad as the 2 previous but i think it was still a panic job for us to end up paying that kind of money for a CB not worth even half the fee or wages. We had a few weeks to save our season and bring in players to key positions...fail.

Alot of clubs and players will wait to see what's on offer so most business is done late in the window. Don't forget Harry has said he wants some loans so they probably won't be done till a week after the window has closed.

I think Harry would want it mostly done before the senior profressionals come back yes. You need a positive atmosphere around in pre season and having unwanted flops in the group dont help that and of course time to integrate the new guys.
