Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo: "Joey Barton negotiates, not with us but with (QPR) because he has 2 years left on his contract"

To me it sounds like they might negotiate about "mutual termination"

Posters on here have TERRIBLE memories, all this talk of how good Joey is. Do they remember some of his performances? Remember the booing against Liverpool? and how the team was galvanized when he went off ? Or all those misplaced passes? In a lot of games he was absolutely SH1TE!!! That's apart from the unforgivable nonsense at Man City in our most important game in years and him saying he only came here for the money and he never wants to play for us again! Do we really need that poison in the dressing room? Get rid or let him rot in the reserves

The only thing is he passionate about is not playing for us ever again. Source: His twitter feed for the past 6 months.

                Get rid, asap.

                  Liability - YES (IMO)

I don't care if he plays like Lionel Messi half the time. If he gets sent off and suspended for the other half of the time he is a liability. Especially if it's for stupid things. We need players that can put a shift in consistently and try and build a settled, confident squad. Continually being a "bad boy" and gobbling off on twitter is just a distraction.

im shocked, marseille must be crazy to let this colossos in world football go,this little magician on the pitch orchestrating all before him.this calming influence on the field of play keeping the meek in check as le baarton goes about destroying the opposition with his mesmerizing silky skills."forgive them joseph for they know not what they do".now get away from the shaving mirror and get your boney scouse #### back down to your adoring public down at loftus rd,and dont forget the tin hat cos by god your gonna need it.

I get that Barton has said a lot of stupid things, and quite honestly he would rather be playing for Marseille (Can you blame him???) On that note, yeah I would rather he left. But its clearly not that straight forward otherwise he would of already transferred over to France.

However, if we are stuck with him... we do need to remember he is better than what we have and therefore we may as well get behind him.

Selling him is fine, but paying him off isn't. Its yet another mistake in transfers and yet another massive outgoing.

We are better off keeping him and playing him as he could be the DIFFERENCE in us fighting our way back to the prem. (Making more money and even further loss)

Are we here to watch QPR win matches and have fun? Or are we more concerned about booing 1 player coming back to QPR?

I am worried he could turn out to be another mercenary If he is forced to stay!
                              QPR fan since1987

Poison in the dressing room..... yeah because there's been so much harmony in the dressing room since he left hasnt there??! The team spirit this season was much better wasn't it....?

As for how bad he was..... yes he had a bad spell, the worst being that liverpool game, but name a player in the last two pitiful seasons that hasn't had bad spells (and please dont be fooled enough to say Clint Hill, who so many seem to ignore his failings in matches because he tries hard!). Also that Liverpool game was absolutely embarrassing for 75 mins.... you think that was all down to Joey? There wer many had a shocker. He was booed throughout which i'm sure helped his game no end.

If you highlight his bad spell you can't disregard when he played very well, which he did many times. He was decent when first arrived and key in our good run until November. He was also very very good when he came back into the team at the end of the season after that Liverpool period. Do you think we beat the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Stoke, Swansea while carrying him? He was also excellent in the City game up until that moment.

Point is, he's not sh1te, and if he was he would hardly have been a regular for the 2nd best team in France would he.....?
