welcome back, theres things that i like and loathe about him, but he has the minerals to tell some of our wasters that their attitude doesnt cut the mustard.

Would definately welcome him back. What exactly did he do wrong? I know the timing wasnt great but I had no issue with him giving aguero a dead leg and laying a nut on Kompany. i know he didnt play too well at times but who was playing well then? Everyone loses form sometimes. I agree with previous post that if Harry can get the best out of them him and Faurlin would be a very good championship centre mid pairing.

There will now be a competition to see who can get the most media attention, him or Harry. I think he could do well for us next year and let's face it he always tries (or is trying).

More disruption in a split dressing room from a player who wants to be anywhere but here. What state of mind will he be in, expecting Champion's League football next season, and ending up in the Championship?

Personally if I was Tony Fernandes there is no way I'd be subsidising a loan for him again this season, if nobody wants to take him off our wage bill we should have him in the squad. I know many won't like this but he'd be a cracking player in the Championship and whatever you say about him, we missed a few characters like Joey last season!
Agree with this! Why loan him out and pay his wage, he may be the player we need in the Championship! As for his tweets, I don't care what he has said, just come in and do your job!

I do agree he'd be a massive plus in the championship but unless he's willing to come back and allow both sides to have a clean slate it could be another disaster. On the other hand i'd love to see his reaction to Boswinga and co if the way he was with Adel is anything to go by the first training session would be interesting.

But didn't he release a twitter statement along tong the lines of " How many times do i have to state that i will not be playing football in the championship next season"....Joey will have to back down from this statement, and lets face it he doesn't like backing down. I only want him in the team if he is fully committed and by his own disappointing admission he hasn't been so far.

                        Glad Marseille don't want him.

Could this be Marseille just playing hard ball? They know he doesnt want to come back here and they also know that the board are unlikely to want him back. Just a ploy to drive the price down?

whether marseille want him or not is irrelevant. he does not want to play for QPR. i for one am sick of having players who dont want to play for the club, so imo barton can stay away.

I understood from the French press that he was offered half of what he is getting at Rangers (40,000 Euros a week), which he refused. Also everybody in France has to pay 75% tax on earnings over 1,000,000 Euros a year, so even if Marseille were to make a better offer, he would not be much better off because most of it would be going in tax. At the moment I assume he is being paid by QPR from the UK and is paying UK tax.

As for his tweet about not paying in the Championship, he will probably say that he had to put his family first.

Dont think we look an attractive option to any player at the moment tbh Ginge and we have found out the hard way luring them with big money doesnt work either.
