No FFS it's only June threads, nobody really complaining that much any more, are we as a group way more realistic now, would fighting for a play off play be good enough next season?.My first thread in ages,I keep an eye on this board but rarely post any more,I do notice a sense of calm here now( on the board) that was never there before,it's almost like fans aren't as bothered any more, probably as expectations were so high for last season and it ended up in utter disaster.Personally I thing HR will stay,I think we will offload some high earners, but will be stuck with others,I disagree about lack of talent here and think with a few hungry and decent additions we could do ok next season,by ok I mean a top 6 position,I don't think that is having too high expectations,do others agree?

I agree.
Not that I don't have any expectations it's just I really don't give a sh!t at the moment & am just enjoying there being no football on funnily enough. Whatever happens I'm pretty sure nothing could come close to how bad things have been the last 2 seasons. I think top 6 is a realistic target that we will achieve.

The players we have or should have remaining should be a class above the rest of them in this division.
I do feel a top 6 finish if not in the top two. Anything less and I think it's a very bad season.

Good to see ya post Rebel.
Tbh despite everything I still expect us to mount a serious promotion push. Not saying that we will runaway with the league at all (personally think Reading will be the team to beat next year) but with some of the experience we have in that side (ic the gaffer), we really don't have any excuses. Arry knows the bad eggs and we have all summer to offload and bring in some fresh blood. The natural ability is there, I think it's just a case of tweaking the squad and ensuring those there are there for the right reasons which I know is easier said than done, but that's what Arry is paid £3m a year for.
So, personally, enything other than a serious promotion push is an underachieve next season. We should not be content with beign also rans. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Big challenge for HR,he won't want to retire on a sour note, think a top 6 place is a realistic target, but for once I won't be the one giving out about who we bring in or screaming for a striker,I will just go with the flow this summer, and Hi to you Matty.

I don't think anyone can trump the low level of my expectations. As things currently stand now, I think we are certain candidates for second straight relegation. I've had this confidence since February. With Harry we fall.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I wish i shared the optimism of you guys on this post but i just cant at the moment. There has been a cancer in our club for the last two years and cancer takes a long time to recover from. First of all you have to get rid of the cancerous cells (Bosingwa, M'Bia, Granero etc) and then you have to have chemotherapy which is a slow and painful process and takes a lot of hard work, determination and fight (this is Harry rebuilding the squad) only then can you start to function properly again. Apologies for the bleak analogy but i think it is the best way to put it. I hope i am wrong but don't think that things are going to be sorted in one off season....sorry.

Honestly don't know what to expect this coming season, but a squad without rancour (or rhyming equivalent), fighting performances, going into games reasonably confident that we can actually win and a good start would do it for me. If given all of the above I would be happy enough with mid table and the expectation of building for a serious promotion push the following season.

I honestly think its the attitude of the players that has to change next season, rather than changing too many of the players themselves. If Harry can do that I think we have a really good chance of automatic promotion. Maybe Im deluded but the players we already have plus hopefully a few additions, really should have the quality to beat most of the teams in that division. If they can get the attitude right I think we will be successful

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
