But he didnt have that bad a season
I can think of 4, perhaps 5 games at a push where he had a good game. And to be fair he only looked good in those games because those around him were so awful.

He was all running and absolute no talent, brain or purpose. He wasn't helped by starting at CB and then being made a box to box midfielder.

Fair play for giving out a few shirts after games, but i'd personally rather have a footballer with a brain who just does his job.

Let him go, but it would be better if we could make a profit out of him

I'd happily take anything between 3-6m for him.

I don't mean this in any way to be rude, but can I ask how many QPR games you watched last season and I am not talking about on TV? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to understand your reasoning as to how he didn't have that bad a season. I'm interested in having a sensible debate. I attended 33 league games last season in case you are wondering and of all those games I think I remember him putting in three half decent performances. As I said I'm not having a pop fella just looking at how you've come to your decision?

I am season ticket holder. Go every game, and as many away games as I can.

IMO he didnt have a bad season.

I ask you the question to define his role in the team, IMO he did his role fairly well.

I went to 34 league games last season and IMO I agree with dazzer, he was very ordinary and played well in a handful of games.
His clumsy tackling, molesting of other players, theatrical diving and ludicrous facial expressions were awful to watch. I would say comical if it was for another team but when you're losing as much as us, there was nothing funny about it.
His inability to contribute any goals was also pitiful and sloppy passing continually meant our attacks broke down.
As I've previously said, trying hard is one thing but if it's with minimal ability and virtually no end product, then it's all a waste of time really.
What's worse is that he was supposed to be top player that everyone wanted when we got him.
His twitter behaviour and then denying it, sums him up
              Huge disappointment, get rid asap

Just my opinion... I said previously that he can be a clown and clumsy... So I can understand the negativity

we all see different things, personally expected much more than we got
this was a guy many so called good judges thought was going to be a big hit in the PL
I'd put an S before the hit!!

I only attended 26 last season but don't understand why you think you can't make a judgement on him from watching him on the tv? Unless you spend games just watching mbia run around then I find that a little odd. He looked rubbish at games....but he also looked **** on tv.....to be honest, he looked **** on the radio.

Wouldnt have got into any other prem teams midfield and that includes Reading (Leighterwood is better than this dope!)

Not as bad as people make out. When he was bad he was terrible but when he was good he was very good. Granted that was not often but it is not easy in a team losing every week. Bar Adel am sure he prob got the most assists for us and i can think of at least 3 quality through balls for goals.

The guy played with a different midfield partner every week. How people cannot want Barton back given he is 5 times better than Mbia who was arguably the best central midfielder of a bad/terrible bunch last season.

Short memories on this board again..... Barton was worse than M'Bia ever was, and M'Bia was horrendous at times!

In our 2 seasons in the premiership, our best midfield performances came in our first season was when we had barton, faurlin and diakite playing. Arsenal, swansea, tottenham.....very good teams and they dominated their midfield. We've not come close to that level. All 3 are still are players, we should try to see if we can get them working together again.

I don't recall Barton, Diakite and Faurlin ever playing together. Barton and Faurlin played together in the first half of the season. Diakite joined in January when Faurlin was injured and then Faurlin played this season after Barton was on loan.

Spot on- they never played a game together. Our best midfield performances in the 2 years at the Prem IMO were Spurs away/Chelsea at home with Faurlin & Granero in there together.

Barton and Faurlin would never work together- both far too slow.
