  • Patrick Van Aarnholt...

Old news, but it poses a question.

He 100% decided to join QPR, please believe me - that is a fact.
(Pete might even back me up on that one, he knows)

So.... why did we change our minds about him at the last minute, forcing him to go to Coventry, who were his second choice. I assume in favour of another "better" option, as hinted at by Pete and Walkonby?

Are we waiting for the loan window to re-open, in order to get the left back we want/need, or have we decided to persevere with Borrowdale, and use Matt Connelly as cover for him?? (Where Matt is WASTED)

Are we looking to get a new left back in the next couple of weeks, or not?

Too much winky winky if you ask me
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Is it just me but have certain people decided that borrowdale was going to be useless before he even kicked a ball and now can't bear to change their opinion of him , i have been to most of the games this season bar plymouth and scunthorpe and apart from Forests equaliser i can't say i have seen him do much wrong. Is he the next gorkkss?

                Speaking for myself... no.

I thought he was ok against Blackpool... really poor v Forest, and a very weak link at Scunthorpe.
He's not good enough, and that's purely based on watching him play.
Positioning, closing down, stopping crosses, agression, pace... all below par.

                Just my opinion though.

                  Agree!

[He did well at Scunny too, as i was at that one, but can't vouch for plymouth]

I've been to every league game so far and honestly think Borrowdale simply isn't a good enough defender.

He's far too slow and backs off the attacker far too much. The left sided CB basically has to dual-roll for the game to cover Borrowdale, Gorkss especially Plymouth away.

Coventry City could guarantee first team football, we couldn't.

He has not set the world alight for them, by all accounts.

Last season Peter Ramage was a popular scapegoat.

This season looks like Gary Borrowdale has inherited the mantle.

Our defence is one of the best in the championship, it's our forward line that's crap.
