Been a failure for us. Took over, what, end of Nobember? Yes we had issues he adopted, but he had more than enough time to sort it - had his own transfer window so couldn't even blame it on that. Yet we finished up worse off than he started! Some of his decisions have baffled me tbh. He's a pro at distributing n blame away from himself but the simple fact is he has flopped with is massively and nobody can argue otherwise - the proof is in the pudding.

don't think he is the man for the job , did he really have the heart for it last season . some of his team selections

We've been appalling ever since Fernandes came in. I don't want him to go, but he needs to leave footballing decisions to the manager. Do you think Reading signed Bridge on crazy money? It's a one year contract. From what Ric says, and he's proved himself to be a reliable source, the board acted poorly where Bridge was concerned and cost us a signing the manager wanted.

Which footballing decisions hasn't TF left to the manager? Didn't TF leave footballing decisions to Hughes? Wasn't it said HR could sign Bridge but there were stipulations on the contract? Do you know the details of what we offered and what was in the contract Bridge signed? How do you know that Bridge's agent didn't ask for huge wages from 'moneybags' QPR?

I respectfully ask you to consider these kinds of questions before speculating and look at the facts, whatever they might be.

It might just be possible that Bridge actually wanted to go to Reading and play for Nigel Adkins who seems like a good bloke, rather than come to a club that appears to be in turmoil at the moment.

As it happens, a manager like Adkins would be good for us right now, someone who appears to want to work hard to succeed, and has no baggage, like a media circus, following him around.

He wasn't playing with a load of youngsters like Lambert at Villa he had seasoned pro's, players who have played the top level of football most of their careers yet still manages to monumentally fu(k up. In his defence a lot of our undoing was down to individual mistakes but even so IMO with the players he had the money he spent & the famous Redknapp man management we should of stayed up comfortably. Had more than enough time.

Unless I've missed something, so far he has been a total failure for us. 20 odd games and couldn't even get us above Reading, just further away from 17th place than we were when he arrived.

Didn't want him in the first place, not surprised he failed badly. The only thing that surprised even me, was his consistently ridiculous team selection and tactics.

If he is thinking about leaving and allowing us to get someone decent in, he should never have said he was staying. Perhaps he does want to stay though and try to put right the almighty mess he made of last season, so not criticising him for something he hasn't done yet.

Sorry, but if he couldn't keep us up with the squad he had at his disposal, then I really cannot see how he can be regarded as anything other than a failure. This is the bloke who everyone thought was a great man-manager, but I for one saw not a lot of evidence that anybody was really playing for him. Just a bunch of losers who, ............. well, kept losing.

Spot on Brighton. Add to that awful football, and awful man management skills. Everyone bangs on about Redknapp getting the best from his players, but all he has done is slate them in public, and completely bombed out certain players.

i agree with much of the above... but as i said on another thread is this just a storm in a teacup that will blow over? or is there more to this? If stories are to be believed i think there is more to it... esp if we are interested in both Gallas & Bentley... either very lazy journalism or lazy scouting/management..

I like Harry. The problem is he does not need to prove himself any more, he could walk away happily any time and spend the rest of his days playing golf. Harry has pubicly said he does not need the money.
The only thing that will keep Harry here is if he thinks he has a chance of winning the division, then he can retire on a high note, otherwise he will walk for sure.
