May be he comes over as arrogant to you but I think you will find yourself in a small minority on that one. His biggest downfall (IMHO) is that he does have views on how best to be seen and perceived by his peers in the aviation world and perhaps has taken some life lessons on corporate behaviour that give off the wrong vibes to some?
Good post mate and i value your opinion on TF. Its not just the aviation world that Fernandes seems obsessed with how he is perceived as the constant PR tweets and PR interviews etc prove. He is obsessed with self image it seems to me. Does Abramovich, Levy, Reading's man, Swansea, Norwich etc crave the limelight or media exposure as much?

Agree and that was kind of my point - he has used the PR skills he needed to learn in his expert field in other areas, such as with us and the Motor Racing and it's kind of back firing on him. I think he needs to learn to go back to his own beginnings (in the aviation sector) when he really didn't have a clue about the business, how it worked or the kind of people he would be up against and start again for each of his new ventures as they are all so different from each other.
You can't treat your average working class football fan the same as a corporate giant such as Bob Ayling or Sir Rod Eddington (CEO's of BA when out Tone was cutting his teeth on the Air Asia project) and you certainly can't try and portray the same character to people so far removed from those two ends of the social scale either.
He is capable of appealing to both but perhaps has become too far removed from the ways of us ordinary folk that he should just take a back seat and let the results speak for themselves. Mind you, that wouldn't do him any good right now :rage:

We've come along way forward since then so maybe the Fernandes bashers should put things into perspective a little more and be a tad more greatful.
'Or are you bring back Flavio'?
          Exactly this.....^^^^^^!!!

jesus wept....Abramovich, Levy, Kroenke, Zingarevich, Whelan, all these rich Chairman/owners and we get this clown. Only at QPR.
That is not a real quote is it?

What's so wrong with that? The chairman spends a little time with prospective signing (one of the only good one's this/last season) which may have swung the deal.

Exactly, nothing wrong with that at all. Why that makes TF a clown i've no idea tbh!! A very wealthy clown, maybe that's the issue!

I would much rather have Tony than Abramovich. If that is the sort of Chairman you aspire to I fell sorry for you.

I think we all know Fernandes Bashers are a minority in our club. Give me an open Owner like Tony over an Abramovich anyday!

I saw the interview at 5 thought it was pretty fair tbh.... He has backed the managers to the tune of £58 mill, and has stated he hasn't got involved in player recruitment so we have to believe him unless someone comes out with proof to the contrary ..ie NW MH or HR

Has he really spent £58m? wow.... when you think of it, we would be really lucky to recoup £7m tbh. It just shows how out of control the spending became and we didn't buy a single youngster. Now we can see why QPR failed so badly.

Thats why we didn't sign Bridge maybe?

They listened to the wrong people last time and doing things different now, or are you saying those players were Tony's signing, not the managers?

I think that´s the reason why so many on here seem to despise the man.
