  • Qpr's future hanging on promotion next season

With 93m of soft loans attached to the club and a definite increase in debt next season promotion next season is paramount.

We need to back Harry let him guide us without interference let him do what he's paid to do keep Mr Beard out the equation let him focus on selling the unwanted. Tony needs to keep the marketing plans out of our squad for now stick to everything that's makes us a winning football team not a sodding project for now.IMHO of course

Spot on, no point in hiring Harry or any other manager if he ain't got full control over playing side of the club

Agree but Tony needs to decide if he still feels Harry is the right man. He's old now and is really a premier league manager. If not it will cost more in the long run if he worries about paying him off. Tony needs to devote most of his time to the QPR "project" over the next 2 months that's for sure.

What a brilliant idea - let Harry do exactly what Mark Hughes and his bunch of mates did so successfully.

And make sure the owners continue to pour money into the club without any say as to how the money is spent.

What type of business are you in - government by any chance?

But 'Arry has said he ain't looking to spend, not on transfers anyway. Btw aren't the Gov cutting spending?

The challenge is getting rid of the overpaid underperformers and bringing a good mix of young and experienced players.

Government is led by politicians not by the managers of the departments all they do is impose the politicians will and budgets. Anyway I digress if Harry's demands were unreasonable then I agree but the inference was that Wayne Bridge could be signed for a modest amount no transfer fee but we are not privy to the salary.

However Traore wants away I'm not sure about the Korean lad so who have we got at left back ?
Harry's rationale seems reasonable he's not asking for millions this time round.

My thinking is similar to yours, apart from maybe Park MH was given full support by board with no interference, even MH hasn't made that allegation since he left. To be fair to TF MH had manged established premiership teams before he came to us and many posters said at the time how refreshing it was that TF didn't interfere. As soon as it went Peter tong, he was labelled weak and that MH had pulled the wool over his eyes.
Then HR turns up, fully supported in region of about £20m to keep us up, he failed, TF is accused of ridiculous spending and we should have in jan been building a team for long term sustainability rather than quick fix.
Now the consensus is HR should get on with it with no interference.
I understand the frees, but it's the frees with long term contracts given to old and infirm players that has mainly got us in the mess.
The Swansea chairman simply interferes in everything as he says that's the only way small clubs can succeed as managers only have short term goals.
Also HR hasn't done anything to deserve being given full autonomy on transfers, he sent us down and has been complaining ever since.
It's a difficult matter but saying HR should just be left to get on with it is too simplistic IMHO, I don't know what the answer is but TF may have to step in and say "NO" on occassions.
Lastly, are "footballing people" experts in this area, Souness doesn't have a scooby, and did you need footballing knowledge to say Dyer, AJ and Bobby are over the hill and injury prone and therefore veto their purchases.
