I am actually glad that Sir Les went to Reading instead of QPR. My guess is that he knew he was not fit - was useless at Reading - and that he chose to join another club rather than risk tarnishing our memories of him. e.g. my memories of Wilkins are not of the great player he was for QPR, but rather the useless manager who relegated the club largely thanks to selling Sir Les & replacing him with Hateley and also wasting the rest of the money on Zelic, Osborne and Sommner.

Oh yes, I almost forgot about him, but he didn't cost much and rarely played.

So for me my fallen hero would be Wilkins. from Hero to Zero just about sums him up for me, and everytime I see him on TV, I switch it over or off.

Rodney, when he left for Man City and Terry Venables, he told us all he was staying as manager then sodded off to Barcelona virtually the next day.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

You ar$e! Thanks for that.... I've loved Vegas and would go again tomorrow if the chance cropped up!

Answering the original post LES FERDINAND all day long. The nicest person ever to wear a QPR shirt. His sister and dad were & still are amazing people too. He spoilt me rotten when I was a lad growing up too. Must have had 8+ pairs of football boots off him (even better when your hero is the same size shoe as you!), a complete home and away QPR football kit for the team I played for, a Compaq Presario Computer, Shirts, Shorts and Soxs. Absolute legend (not because of all the gifts I got from him but because he is just a genuinely nice guy)! Paul Parker, Clive Wilson, Alan McDonald, Terry Fenwick, Ray Wilkins, Robbie James (RIP) and Martin, Clive and Bradley Allen all come close second.

Ferdinand but his still my hero to this day! Was gutted when he left but can't be blamed for that! Was hoping he'd come back to us in a coaching role shame he went to Spurs!
