for the record, the questions asked made it sound like he was off..

This.......although I do agree that Harry could do better in how he interacts with the media.

Bridge would be a decent target if its true we are trying to sign him. Played pretty much every game in a team that finished 4th in the championship last seaon and really wants first team football. Only concern for me is his wages.

After David McIntyre's claim that Zamora and Johnson were on their way even before Hughes came in, I have to wonder how much involvement Tony and Phil have had on the football side of things.

Fancied a nice big bonus to keep us up last year, failed to do so, and now wants out but wants his pay off.
Call his bluff, don't back him and let him walk without a payoff, w@nker!

Imagine how Tony feels, Harry publicly threatening to leave if he don't get what he wants. Disrespectful to Tony tbh, tell Tony you want to be backed, not the media.

Regardless of whether one thinks he is a really good manager or an awful one, (last season would indicate the latter), to behave like that and say such things shows a distinct lack of class. Not that that should be a surprise to anybody.

Hope TF not only backs him, but does so very publicly and keeps reminding the football world that he gave him what he asked for. Then, if we don't go straight back up as Champions, old twitchy face will have been well and truly found out.

Hang on a sec. It's not like he's asking them to spend big on transfers. He says he's looking for free transfers or good players from lower leagues. And he's right about him and his staff being football people which the board aren't, and are therefore more qualified to judge a player and therefore should be backed. Can't see anything wrong with that at all.

Agree in that the content of what he is saying is bang on - I would expect the manager to have the board's backing and have his own say on all transfers - especially when he is looking for frees & lower league players. However, as I see it, the fact he has come out and said this is the sign of a power struggle between him & the board. Also the fact he has never come out and publicly dismissed the rumours linking him with a move elsewhere and commited himself tells me he ain't planning on staying.

Maybe I'm being a fat paranoid ba$tard and reading into it too much, but just my take on it.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

The interviewer has been clever and Harry has been a bit too honest, then as usual Sky have gone and done their best to sensationalise it all. As I've said before though, Harry could handle the media a whole lot better!

he really is the biggest ****. Just **** off Harry. Can't believe some still want him here. He;s no better than Hughes. The only positive about him is that he's quite smart. You must see what he's trying to do??? Put out a few interviews saying that squad is ****, overpaid, no unity......all he wants is a few free transfers etc. Then when he leaves, his first interview will be: "i really wanted to stay John, i really did. Good club, great fans and board as good a people as you come across. But I needed to change the squad tgiven the state it was in when I joined and we couldn't get rid of some of them and they wouldn't allow me to bring in the players i wanted. So, it's was hardest decision in my life but I had to leave."
