brilliant post West and very well put. I agree 100%
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Then he don't come then mate and that should apply to all players young and old. This is what we QPR offer if it interests you sign if it don't thanks for your time but there is nothing more to discuss.

Its time to readdress the balance and show that we are not p ussies anymore. The problem we will face is QPR since we have got promoted are viewed as a gravy train, we were a soft touch, so anyone who comes to talk to us probably puts another 20k on whatever they would have normally asked for so in all intents and purposes we might have to suffer a bit of pain in the transfer market and leave our signings to the end of the window so to show people its our way or no way.

Gallas is one of Harrys boys he knows what he is going to get from him and he knows he can rely upon him and if he came Gallas would clearly rate Harry as a manager astute move in my book there is already a bond between the two as seen from Jenas and Townsend.

The problem is not signing older players its signing older players who come with the wrong intentions and are only here for one reason who then turn into bad eggs. Experienced players who are not coming to rock the boat and wants to play and contribute im all for it.

We could easily do what everyone is saying and go and get 7 players between the age of 18 and 25 but if there attitudes are wrong (Ravel Morrison is an example or a Leon Jeanne) does that make them better then a 30 year old because there younger no it don't???

Age is not the problem there intention and attitude is the key. If we were offered Giggs for a season would you simply say no because he is 39 I would not I would take your hand off for a Giggs in our squad next season with his professional attitude and drive.

One of the few good posts here at the moment.

A few good points there but to be honest some of the players are Sh*t for brains and have nothing to do with the deal/deals its the agents and lets be fair with what's gone on previously with most of the deals for the players Hughes brought in they (agents) are rubbing there hands knowing that QPR are looking for players again, they all think that they can get there players whatever they want because if we don't pay then they will say to there client not to sign for us and go elsewhere, the trouble is what do we do? if we find talent how do we sign them early when there agent will tell them to hold out for more money? it cant be easy with everyone knowing that we are looking for players and have sent good money on both fees and wages before.

This is what I am getting at we might have to suffer in the next couple of windows to show agents etc were not there for the taking. Might mean us calling a few players bluffs and leaving them on tenderhooks until the last few days of the window and hoping that they come back and agree our terms.

I think the club could do itself a favour and start drip feeding to the press that the dynamics of the club have changed and were going down another path so when we do deal with players and agents they come with reasonable expectations.

West that's a good point but can a lot of the fans wait and even can the team wait? you cant plan for the new season hoping that the said players that you want will sign later in the window because what if they don't? you need to get your squad together as early as possible because it isn't going to be easy in the championship and you need to hit the ground running, if we had time and lets say that the club say we are building for the future (and mean it) but its going to take some time to get in some talented youngsters would this wash with the fans? I wouldn't mind that approach but I do know a lot of fans that want everything done now. there are some tough decisions to make not just for now but for our future so lets hope that Tony and the gang get it right.

Well the way that everyone is banging on about youth it would be a bit hypocritical if they then turned because we were not progressing at the pace they want. I can imagine the outcry now of people saying we need to get some tried an tested players in to speed up our progression football is a fickle game.

Spot on about the squad being formed early but I think we find ourselves in between a rock and a hard place to get players early doors think we will have to pay a bit more. I would not be against a moderate wage with big incentives for promotion even agree a prem wage now for the event we were to go up dangle the carrot in front of there face let them know what they are playing for.

That's the way forward for me incentive based contracts

Think other than Cook, Bircham, Campbell, all players by definition are mercenaries. Mercenaries at least do the job they are paid for, i think it's more a case of the players we sign have the right attitude towards
our club, ie, they're not too big or good for little ol QPR.
