When is A Bid, Not a Bid?

If you go into the Estate Agent and want to buy a house not advertised and they say its not for sale, is that a bid?

If you are requesting how much would it cost, does that constitute a bid?

I know we are splitting hairs here, but some of the posts today are OTT

A bid Pete, is when you offer either hard cash or something of equivelant value in exchange.

If I go to a shop and ask how much a sofa is...that is NOT a bid...it's nothing more than an enquirey.

I've not read many of the comments on here regarding this but I would imagine they are fair game after what we were led to believe.

I respect people who debate and even though we disagree, can share a pint on a Saturday, but the ones who say my views are someone else's might as well say I'm not a supporter of the club.

We've not bid for Bale as Harry would want at least 5 million.

We would have enquired about loaning, but he is injured at the moment and no real rush with the window opening next week. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE WILL GET HIM AS a number of championship clubs will/have been after him.

Even if Pete or anyone else wants to spread BS or think that something they have been told might happen that's fine by me. Some need to take certain comments with a pinch of salt and understand a rumour is exactly that

Donald, a poster who has told me a few things who does not like to post (no its not him !!!!!!!!!!!!) has come up trumps before and told me we were enquiring about Bale.

As for Hooper another told me about bidding. ( I have posted this already)

I suspect we will bid again in Janauary, then we'll have posters saying we need another one.
