They want Remy and we want Townsend for 1 year lone deal this is a great idea and this would suit both parties and players.

What about if Remy get's banged up? The window will be shut and spurs won't be able to bring in a quality striker to replace him, come on mate, think!

Right so lets clear this up, are you talking about a 6 month loan deal in Jan?
It will be impossible for him to be cleared before because the court case is in sept?

So Townsend will have to sit on the spurs bench for 6 months and refuse about 6 or 7 premier league offers.
Do you really think there is any chance of the above happening?

2ndly I have very rarely been one for ITK. I think i've brough up 2 players, 1 in which we'd signed and the other that didn't happen.

Maybe you should talk to Davesviews or the others that have recently resurfaced.

If that was offered now before the court case I would take it. Long term, Remy is worth much more than Townsend, so a swap would leave us out of pocket IMO.

Remy is stuck with us until his case is cleared (hopefully).

I think as a club we need to plan on the basis that Remy will be with us at least up until end of Jan 2014 so we need to ensure that we get the very best out of him for the five months we have him in the squad and use his goals to put us in the best possible position going into the final three months of the season.

Im sure the clubs solicitors will have met and consulted with Remy and his legal team so they have a steer on the severity of the allegations and the likelihood of favourable outcome.

If Remy is here until January and we are looking in a good position for promotion by then, who's to say he won't stay anyway?
