Yes he's on a fat wage but he did well for us. He made a few mistakes but with our defence in front of him he was probably one of the most worked goalkeepers in all four divisions. He played well.
We can't handle his wage in the championship so he should go. He probably realises this and therefore is looking to move. The man can make the Brazilian World Cup starting line up, why on earth would he not want to play for a top flight team?
Out of all the "mercenaries" at our club he earned big money and put in big performances. There's a fair few who got the money and never played a decent game.
I think there's far worse than Cesar here, in terms of ability & attitude. But have qualms in seeing him go. Was blinding for us in January, as well as against Chelski at home, so he done a good job for us, but also farked up a few times, especially towards the end of the season. Great shot stopper but not particularly good at commanding his box (as we saw v Villa!). Don't dislike him, seems a decent bloke tbf, wish him well wherever he goes but won't be sad to see him go & get him off the payroll. For the division we are in next year (ie alot more "hoof ball" into the box), I'd be happy seeing between the sticks (although he has his own faults obviously!).
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
His failure to come off his line to let Villa equalize was very significant, who knows what would have happened if we had gone in at half-time 1-0 up, not worth his wages imo
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

There are few outstanding keepers in the Premier League and I think all would have made a few mistakes behind our defence, just based on the amount of work they had to do. The modern balls are very unpredictable and difficult to hold first time if there is any power in the shot. Cesar did pretty well until injury started impacting his movement.

But the rest of the team didn't help him out did they? He won us points in other games, in particular when we drew against bigger teams like city and spurs and everton and Chelsea.
Have seen him have more blinders and pull of more world class saves than any other keeper this season. Granted he made a couple of mistakes, but just think how bad the team was in front of him.
Will never forget the point blank save he made against Torres at Stamford Bridge when it was still 0-0 and they were battering us. What about Arsenal away, West Ham away, Spurs away, so many home games too.
He became an easy target and just got grouped with all the other signings, not all of the players who joined last summer were mercenaries. He certainly wasn't. Read any interview with him or about him and you'll get an idea as to what kind of bloke he is.
I wish him all the best, he is arguably the best keeper i've seen at QPR in 20 odd years. Will go on to be a key player for whoever he joins.

Could go back through the season and pick out 30+ moments like that- if Mackie had scored the 1 on 1 against Swansea on the very first game, if Tarbs had scored the pen against Norwich... countless others.
No regrets because playing in the premiership has put him back in the spot light. Got back in the Brazil team and no doubt will be snapped up by a top flight club....where he came fro he was 2nd choice if i remember rightly?
Bit gutted to see him go like others stated, obviously that terrible game he had against Villa pretty much ended our season and his - But who knows, we could have been down long before that had he not been in great form through out January.
Apperantly Off to Arsenal on a two year deal according to twitter and Italian media.
Does he fit into ####'s style of play though? I dont know....thought they liked a keeper that catches and holds the ball, rolls it out quickly across the ground to player, rather than a volleyball style keeper.

A solid keeper seems to have gone out of fashion these days. Personally, I agree he is a bit dodgy...
He's a goodkeeper, he wouldn't be going to Arsenal if Wenger thought he wasn't good enough.
I think you have to bear in mind Cesar had to play behind the worst defence in the Premier league. I don't think Cech would had done any better to be honest.
