For us that would mean around 29k."

With some fans (not saying you) it is noticeable they immediately single out a Korean fan. Would they single out a new English fan in the same way I wonder? Is this really about the length of time someone has supported the club (a pretty pathetic form of one up-manship to me, but hey ho) or is it actually about something a bit nastier?
haha cant you see the irony of QPR suddenly getting fans from Korea due to us having a Korean player paying for us, also, my point is were QPR even on that persons radar years ago. I question whether these fans from around the world will still follow us when we are back where we were before. Now look at your suggestion of racist undertones to mine or others posts again please and re-evaluate you higher than mighty reply.

The board are investing a lot of money advertising in Asia, the club wouldn't be signing or paying the money we are for players without this income coming in from sponsorship.

So you're happy that we take and spend the money, but don't wish to have or create a new fan base from around the world... does it really matter who they are or where they come from?

All the big football clubs around the world have a following that's outside their own country, why should we restrict ourselves to West London?

Football in general has changed from the last 10 to 20 years ago, it's not the same and it's not better than it used to be, however the game has moved on and we need to keep up or we'll really get left behind.

Good post. Where do some of these people think we would be with just a core fan base of about 10-12k and operating only in the confines of West London? There'd be no new academy/training ground, no investment in a new stadium, we'd be rattling around in lower leagues, and possibly end up in administration.

These are changing times in the game as English football, due to its popularity, becomes a global enterprise. We either change with it or we die. It's as simple as that.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

                      Her home shirt and shorts.

Felt really proud that she chose it over her Peppa Pig, and Hello Kitty sleepwear!!
envy you, how does it feeling like raising a daughter?

Many football fans will always have a parochial attitude towards their club, it's just how they are.

Very true and I don't condemn that one bit. I believe we need to move with the changing times though.

I am worry about getting back into administration If TF leves anytime so we must manage our finances carefully now on the basis he is not here by clearing all debts and selling all saleable player. I don't matter what league we play as long as the club is there. Only about time and we will get back to the PL. I am also worried that we may do Wolves.

From a business sense and for the club to grow and increase its fanbase and brand then yes, absolutely. But every club will always have its section of fans that don't want that and would much rather keep it smaller and local.

I am delighted we are getting fans from Korea. Isn't that something to celebrate rather than moan about? What is your strategy for a fan base moving forward? That we get no new fans, just us lot getting older and older, standing around into our nineties having pointless discussions about who is the oldest/ most long suffering/ most loyal fan? When we are in the Conference watched by six people and their dog? I know a lad from west London who went to several games last season and said he would get a season ticket if we stayed up in the Prem. Now we are relegated he is going back to supporting Arsenal. And he is white. Just as there are floating voters, so there are floating fans, English as well as Korean. Do you not get the basic point that we need more fans, not less, and that many will be from new places? Chelsea got loads of Italian fans a few years ago when they had all those Italians at the club. It helped them grow. That's how football in the 21st century works.

And for your information, its "high and mighty" not "higher than mighty".
