He deserves another chance as he was injured last season and his wage is not high is it?

I thought he'd only signed a 2 year deal and as such would be out of contract this summer. Surely we'd want DJ in the Championship wouldn't we?

Options up front next season could be Zamora (if he ever gets over this hip injury), Andy Johnson, Betty Bothroyd, DJ Campbell and I'm guessing Loic Remy (until he goes to jail). Actually sounds like a pretty scary choice of strikers in that league!

Would like him in our ranks next season tbh. At leats he will put a shift in and we know he scores goals at that level.

Sky News strikes again! How could he be talking with other clubs if he's only just now entering the final year of his contract? Pretty sure his deal expires at the end of this June.

All makes sense now, thought he was out of contract. I suppose Harry will probably let him move on!

Sorry but not good enough !!

The key to getting out of the championship is ....proven goalscorers .........Most teams have average defences , average midfield etc .....get 2 PROVEN goalscorers and we 'd walk the league next year !!

ps . I don't count Adel as one as his heart is not in Rangers at the moment .....He still yearns for his dream move to OT or the Bernabeau but for me he has let himself down over the last 2 years and I can't see him busting a gut to sort himself out for a 9 month / 2 game a week stint in the NPC

His heart has not been in Rangers since he wanted to move to PSG 2 years ago.

Not sure how he isn't a proven goalscorer though? Scored 13 PL goals in his last proper season there & scored 10 in 17 games for Ipswich this season?

DJ Campbell is definitely a proven goal scorer at Championship level!

Indeed he is, I'd be happy with him up front next season. He also WANTS to play for us, that is something well worth taking into account.

me too. I still thaink that had he not been shipped out on loan in Feb he might just have helped the team put up a bit more of a fight to stay up. I'd have had him in the centre forward role ahead of Taarabt or Mackie every time and he might have scored a winer or two in those games.

If he stays, he can be a real handful for Championship defences and let's face it, there is no way that Zamora or Johnson will be fit enough to paly more than 20 games each or perhaps even between them!

He only signed a two year contract.

His biggest mistake was legging it when he had the chance to join Hul City in January. That is what I call one long lunch break.
