  • Cesar in talks with a few clubs

I know we all fully expect Julio to leave, but I thought i'd just let you all know that he has admitted that he has already held talks with some clubs. I for one was a fan of his, but i'd prefer to see him go because of his high wages. Hopefully we can get rid of more players on high wages.

    Here's the link anyway: http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebo...uns-times.html

To be honest I think he's been a disappointment. He came here branded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, he made some critical mistakes in do or die games and then he lost his bottle and his place to Rob Green for the last 6 or 7 games of the season.

    Get shot ASAP!

Agree with Tarbie. He only had some good games from September till January and then lost his form as he had back injury and made some mistakes costing us goals such as vs Swansea & Villa Away.

Yes, we only need one of those two. Crazy overspending that totally undermined Green who had been told he was the number one when signed.

I think Rob Green's attitude has been commendable given how he was treated by Hughes. Hopefully he'll get over the early poor form and be between the sticks for a good few years to come!

I think Rob Greens 50k a week is the only thing commendable about him ,for Christ sake he's never going to play for a top 6 club and none of the rest would pay him that

Was Paddy Kenny better than him?
Has Lee Camp gone that far backwards that he couldn't do as well as him ?
Could we get better for 30=40k ? I think so
Should we try to shift him as well ? imo yes

Fair enough, but it's not his fault what the club have agreed to pay him. Personally I think we'd struggle to attract better quality than Rob Green to the club at the moment. I also think that he would have been entitled to kick up a fuss about the way he has been treated but he hasn't, he has kept working hard and he has played well when he got his chance. For me, one of the few at the club who's attitude is right!

Well I think we could get better and cheaper, come on when he's played in later game he did ok nothing more than ok, yes I agree he has conducted his well by not throwing a wobbler about his situation
No it's not his fault he's on 50k but don't you think the club would be better off saving 15k a week if we could shift him on not that I can see him finding a better offer elsewhere

I thank you. What I've been saying too
                    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

                      Really?

First goal granted the other three were one on ones. Hardly his fault for that. When called upon he has been very good for us. Certainly no worse than the Brazilian.

Nice to see a few people know what Green is earning. Have you guys seen his contract and wage slips then?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

So where are we gonna shift him on to? You've already said earlier in the thread that nobody else is going to pay him 50k a week so how do you propose we get shot of him? He's not just gonna take a pay cut and move on when he hasn't asked to leave is he?

I think people just need to forget about the wages the players are on, there is nothing that we can do about them. There are player's here that are on too much money and because of that we are probably stuck with a lot of them. That doesn't mean that some of them can't still be an active part of the team and do well for us.

In this case Green is a good keeper and more than capable at the level we are playing at and he is also happy to be at the club. Personally I'm glad we have him and I'm confident he'll do well for us between the sticks for the foreseeable!

Green is on what he's on, be that £50k or whatever, what's more important in my opinion is that he has the right attitude as has been shown by him not kicking up a fuss, he will be one of the best keepers in the Championship and if we are to do well we need someone of his quality and with his attitude!
