A fair few people on here say he's a good player but I've wondered if they've actually seen many of his games to make that judgement.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Games I have seen I was not overly impressed he was not someone who made me sit up and think he looks a player but then have not seen masses of Peterborough games so maybe doing him an injustice

I also haven't been bowled over by him but he's young and looks a decent prospect . Problem is Peterborough play a very attacking style of football which is obviously going to provide him with more scoring opportunities , I would personally prefer to buy players who are a bit more proven , not talking old knackers but someone with a bit more experience and knowledge of what is a ****** hard division

According to Peterborough player stats, Gayle scored 13 league goals last season.
          Not exactly a 'must-have.'

I flagged him up as a player we should sign.........but not for £4mill, and if Villa want to pay £3mill let them have him

That is the problem with poster they read something in the papers and think what a great player and they have only seen him play once or twice on the tele. How many times have we seen this in the last two years.

The guy has potential but is not worth the money pig want.

He started 28 games, and came on as sub in 1 game, making a total of 29 appearances.

The people who look at the stats and slate him clearly haven't watched him play. Has bagged a few assists too and great performances.

If Villa are prepared to pay £3m and eye him as a replacement for Benteke, then surely a scout from them have seen him.

                              the trouble

the trouble with peterborough is that as was the case of aaron maclean they hype there players up so much and go on and on about how brilliant they are,but the five millionj price tag they put on maclean was nonsense he actually couldnt do anything when playing at a higher level,so based on that I am not convinced unless factomondo tells me he uis a great player, and as for being better than zamora that surely isnt saying much he was only a five goals a season man in the prem

maybe we need to look at gary hooper from celtic theres a player who can get thirty goals next season
