At last! Someone speaking some sense. If the last two seasons should have taught you anything it is that you are a championship side.

Which is why you should probably look at Championship level players- which Gayle is, and stop buying "has beens" (Park) or "never has beens" (Jenas)

@MattyRangers- the only reason we have signed up and posted comment is because of the idiocy of some of your fellow hoops. Gayle is a proven goal scorer at Championship level- and is young and fast as fu*k. We took a punt on him and paid £500k and he penned a 5 year deal.

Why on earth would we be flattered by a bid of £1m plus a friendly?? Two issues...
1) With the obvious sell on clause owed to D&R for him- plus the fact you would be paying out a 5 year contract- we would only be getting a few quid for arguably the best player in the squad.

2) Our managers dad has been kind enough to get some proper Premiership talent on the pitch in friendlies in recent years- no offence but few players in the current QPR team would draw in a big gate.

Yes our stadium on 3 sides is a bag of turd, but for the premiership yours is hardly Old Trafford either...no need to trade insults there as both clubs are looking to move.

But realistically thinking £1m for Gayle is way off the mark...especially for a club like yours that splashes cash.

What are you on about? Both teams (QPR & Posh) are favourites to be promoted, albeit in different leagues...

The discussion isn't about where he would prefer to play it is about what he is worth with 4 years left on his contract...would he rather go to QPR for £1m or Villa or Fulham (other teams linked with him)??

Discussion and response from Posh fans is because of your cheapening of his value. £1m when add ons are owed to D&R and when he has 4 years left on contract is far too low

Don't know much about the player if honest. If he's worth the punt offer them a million quid of there abouts if they take it great if they don't move onto someone else no hard feelings. After one season he is certainly no Jordon Rhodes of Blackburn so if Peterborough think they will get anywhere near 4mil for a unproven striker with the best part of a seasons experience then good luck to them I fear however at that price he will be turning out at London Road next season.

Im not suggesting lower league clubs should give there players away but you also need to have a bit of realism about what someones true worth is.

We got Remy for 7mil so if its all the same will pass Gayle up at 4mil
