  • Clarke Carlisle getting abuse

Ex QPR Alcoholic Clarke Carlise has been getting abuse on Twitter it seems!

A Cheltenham man is charged over allegations racist tweets were sent to Clarke Carlisle and another Northampton Town footballer.

I remember the days of seeing him pissed out of his brains playing pool each night at the White Hart in Chiswick/Hammersmith even just before a game and having the dilemma of keeping my mouth shut or saying something

Sounds like he had massive mental issues in his younger days but fair play to him for turning his life around.

Isnt he the only football to have been on one of them political debates on TV?

he was on question time and I thought he held his own
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

So what did you do Buddy??

Saw him out a few times in Acton when he first arrived as he was living off the High Street. Was always a decent lad made him aware I was Rangers and he always said hello after that.

Spoke to him a few times and as you say he was a decent lad but always thought it was not my place to mention the drinking as he was not a mate or family member of mine and somehow because he was part of QPR like the rest of us it was not the right thing to do despite us paying hard cash to watch his performances on the pitch at the time

Maybe a few of our lads need to get out on the p!ss then.

From what I remember he always put in a decent shift for us & was on the whole pretty reliable.

              Unlike these c%nts

You know it - always quite like Carlisle.

I seem to remember after the "lash up" in Dubai this year we went & won back to back games n all didn't we?!

Fark it; pre-season needs to be spent in the Springbok I reckon - get em right sloshed and watch em go! Training & fitness are overrated anyway.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

He has just announced his retirement , had a mare @ Wembley apparently & has retired with one year left on his contract.

All the best for the future.
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

From the recent interview in the Insider it said that the players went on a bender the night before we went to Ibiza on a pre season tour (to the point Gallen said he could not pass the ball straight) but we got promoted that season so team bonding is clearly vital

                      George Best,Stan Bowles,Paul McGrath,Tony Adams etc..

All played great football after a skinful.

I know a few beers improves my darts and pool lol.
