Poster on LFW Brightonhoop has heard the following

"Same people that said to me Poyet was gone in the summer back in January are now saying Rednapps a done deal. I dont usually post rumours but I suspect they are right and HR is also gone. Anyone else hearing the same?"

Actually Brighton does have money. The owner paid for the new stadium. What they haven't done is spend massively on players. However they have spent some and are looking at getting established in the Premiership in coming years. A mate of mine is friends with one of the directors there and we all went out, took us on private tour of stadium just before it was finished and a few bevvies. Have to say was impressed by what they had done and their vision.

Difference between Brighton and us is they are looking at building more slowly but with stability. They are also good few years ahead of us in terms of stadium. With us though our owners probably have significantly more wealth so they can afford to chuck real money at it. Didn't work last season but hopefully lessons have been learned.

In terms of 'Arry would be a bad appointment for them. Their team has been built carefully by Poyet. Not too many outstanding individuals but they are playing in a certain way which is the secret of their relative success. Poyet's comments after play off defeat were bang out of order but have to say if we were looking for a new manager would love to have him on board. His team plays good football and ideally suited to Premiership. 'Arry would probably tear that team apart and cost them a fortune.

No way have they got the funds available that H will have here when clubs say they are building slowly for a stable future what they really mean is we haven't got the money to progress as fast as we would like to and there is nothing wrong in that just plain good sense but something very familiar to many fans .
But that said H is 68 and imo he hasn't got time for Brighton's slower agenda

I suspect Harry has been told by TF that before he can buy anyone he will need to ship out the failures...

I wish the club could put this rumour or supposed uncertainty about HR future to bed.

If Redknapp can shift a lot of the players out of QPR, he will have lots to spend. Estimated fees in brackets
                      Cesar £750k
                      Granero £4M
                      Hoilett £2.5M
                      Park £500k
                      Ferdinand £1.25M
                      Cisse £1M
                      Mbia £3M
                      Taarabt £6M
                      Diakite £2M
                      Barton £1M
                      Bosingwa £750K

He can raise roughly £20-25M without even selling Samba and Remy (add another £15M for those two).

Of course, finding takers for them after the way he has been slating them since December is going to be very diificult.
He really should not have said that his squad lacks quality.

Who knows Dave I'd think think the more ponces we can get off the pay roll the more we can bring in, and if wer'e in the mix in january funds will be found to go for it

Rather he stayed but lose too much sleep if he went. Just wish he would either pi$$ off or come out n put the rumours to bed ASAP.

Don't think there's much in the rumours though tbh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I would be very disappointed if he left us after all the big talk about how he wants to stay for the owners.
