Even those who say QPR, they will still want England to do well and love it if we won the world cup, obviously. Also, we got promoted 2 years ago and what did it do for us in hindsight....? We got more revenue and worldwide notice, yet signed umpteen players and paid out said extra money and had 2 years of depression. IF that had been a world cup year and asked in hindsight one or the other, a world cup win would have far longer reaching relevance and impact and always matters. The fact us as a now championship club were in the prem for a couple of years means nothing now.Comment
