How many London clubs have an old small ground? After Brentford get their new one itb will leave QPR, Palace, Leyton Orient & Dagenham & Redbridge. Fulham can at least expand Craven Cottage.

There are those who want to stay at LR and get rid of the chairman. There are others who want to have a new stadium and retain the chairman.
I am in the second group because I want our club to grow and I believe the chairman has a good plan for the club.
I cannot see a good future for our club if we stay at LR and replace the chairman. Some believe this needs to be a football man, but how many football men are around that have deep pockets and a history of running successful businesses?
I have asked the question of a couple of posters here and they don't know. They simply say that TF got us relegated!Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

It's far more interesting than your back story in print would be" My Dad was a no mark Barrow Boy" Wow!! The worlds most boring book...who'd care anyway!!??

So ultimately they were never going to have the club's greatest interests at heart. Fernandes naivety and foolishness in not seeing that was his biggest mistake. All he saw and knew about was Hughes' CV, not all the shady Joorabchian baggage that came with him. He was far too easily seduced by them and all their smooth talk. And he had nobody looking out for his own and the club's interests because Beard is completely unqualified in that department, not having the necessary footballing background.

Makes me laugh anyway, so not fussed either way, as your both good posters.
Vblock, have you read TWs book?

Its only banter really tbh as his book has far more positive reviews than negative ones and although i havent met TW he comes across as an extremely pleasant gentleman.

What is TW's book? I'll have to look it up.
Back to this thing about "Football people". I don't quite understand the point. No owner is a "football person", nor are his board of directors. You make your money in something else and lose it in football, that's how it works. You then employ football people. But "football people" are not the solution on their own. A very high proportion of them are extremely dodgy, as endless exposes have taught us. Fernandes employed several such football people. I wouldn't be happy for a minute with Harry in some kind of "director of football" role for instance. Mike Rigg was meant to be the person and came with a glittering CV from Man City. We were all delighted he joined and couldn't believe Fernandes had pulled off such a coup in hiring him. Remember? Where Fernandes went wrong was in having too much trust in all these so-called "football people". In retrospect he should have questioned many of the buys. But as we didn't at the time (and we weren't the ones putting our money into it) this name-calling after the event just seems quite vindictive and bitter. I'd rather give the guy a break for at least trying his best and giving him the opportunity to put it right, but each to their own...

And Tony has now transferred his faith into Harry and his team, who I personally think will be a big improvement on Hughes' team because they're not tied down to one particular and somewhat 'shady' agent, who's looking out for their own interests first, including player transfers. I personally trust the likes of Broomfield and co far more, and I imagine TF probably now sees this too. So in that regard at least we can say that these expensive lessons now appear to have been learnt and we can look forward to a hopefully brighter future.
But sometimes I half read an article with a TF quote or a tweet and he is praising up players like Faurlin/Granero/Hoilett and I think what on earth is he talking about. Now maybe I am wrong and what does it matter what I think anyway. But does Harry rate those players? If he does then he has a funny way of showing it - Faurlin he sent on loan, Hoilett he tried to send to WBA and Granero he replaced with Jenas when he could.
So the thing I wonder is whether he is misquoted or are they TF's own football opinion or is some adviser telling him this stuff - because it don't really sound like Harry's view to me.
