  • HH - will he improve now ?

Was watching the scunthorpe highlights earlier and HH didn't look too bad I thought ?

Do we think he might do a bit better now he's got premiership quality alongside him (Simpson) ?

Remember that he seems to be in the wright spot getting opportunities (unlike other strikers we have). He is also the only striker we have which can connect play upfront like we saw in his 20 minutes against Scunthorpe.
He is going to miss a few like all strikers (remember Vine last game) but not as many as last year. That will do it for me.

I have said before that I would rather have HH on the pitch because even for his lack of goals he's not a bad player and seems to have a general awareness of where he needs to be.

There's no point being in a position to score if he is always going to miss the chance. But I do agree that the other aspects of his game are reasonably good.

Maybe he will start to score, but I do expect QPR to play a different formation now that Watson has joined, so perhaps he wont be on from the start of games.

I hope there is a place in the side for Buzsaky.

My team for Peterborough would be:

                  -------------Cerny----------------
                  Ramage--Connolly Gorkks Borrowdale
                  -------Watson ----- Faurlin--------
                  -------------Buzsaky--------------
                  Routledge------------------Taarabt
                  -------------Simpson--------------

Subs Heaton, Stewart or Hall, Leigertwood, Vine, Helguson, Ehpraim

The problem with HH is that even moreso than most strikers he is a massive confidence player, so when not going well it gets worse and takes longer to turn it around. He does have talent, but needs to hit the net a couple of times quickly otherwise forget it. When not scoring, we can't afford to carry a striker that's goal shy.

As for getting in the right place etc... it's no good if not finished off. All he's doing by occupying thoses spaces is meaning his partner who probably would score moves somewhere else, ie attacking front or back post etc.

I like that team, but there just wouldnt be enough support for Simpson.

Routledge and Taarabt should be capable of providing support.

Routledge has a lot of pace, so I don't see why he can't get into the box quickly enough to help Simpson.

Not sure about Taarabt, but I don't think he is slow either.

Arsenal did it very well with Pires and Lunjberg supporting Henry and Man U with Rooney and Ronaldo supporting Berbatov.

I know those players are better, but they were also playing against better opposition.

I don't know how many of QPR's players are going to be involved in International football, but this seems like a good chance for them to get some practice in. If Taarabt is away, Vine can take his place in practice sessions.

HH will do okay. He set one up on a plate for Vine and held the ball well on Saturday.

Looking at hs goalscoring record, he will come good.
