What's the source for the capacity mate?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Thanks mate. The only place I can think of then is the Scrubs but that area was created by an Act of Parliament.

Anyone know if any large parcels of land in the borough?

I'm with you mate, it mentions a new up and coming area, also mentions good transport links with the new crossrail set up and it will be a multiplex which will bring massive revenue to the owners

Makes me laugh, Westfield is right round the corner and yet they still want more shops.

Nice 1, Air Asia Stadium, hmm I suppose its the only way forward if you want to stem the cost for the club

You can't mock the naming of the ground. But it's Tomy Fernandes' football club, he can do what he likes & pretty much most big clubs get deals like this when they get new grounds.

Think of it this way, Emirates pay Arsenal say 150m over 7 seasons for naming rights however Emirates will make back more then 150m for their advertisment. Fernandes' AirAsia pay nothing, however AirAsia make a shed load of money & that money gives Fernandes a better bank balance & his money goes into QPR. Another very wise move from the owners.

As for the ground itself it's going to be very sad leaving Loftus Road but very exciting to get a nice big well thought through & NOT out of the box ground as Fernandes said he wants it like Loftus Road but bigger & fans will have a big say. It also might help QPR players & fans get that small club mentality out of their heads
                            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
