  • Injuries - get them off

Just watching the "big" final and it's something that's bothered me for ages..."injuries" holding up play.

    Current system:
    Player goes down
    Rolls
    Rolls a bit more
Ref goes to see what's going on
    Waves physio
Physio touches up the bloke a bit and takes him off
Player makes miraculous recovery and shouts to be let back on
All the while clock is ticking

    Why not:
    Player goes down
St Johns ambulance come on with a stretcher no matter what the injury
Place player on and stretcher off
Physio does all the touching up off the field

Just don't understand why he game is allowed to be so blatantly abused in the injury matter

Rugby does this well, injuries treated on pitch during play.

Not sure if it could work during football, but would be interesting to see.

Physio has to be the first one on to assess the extent of the injury in case it is life-threatening.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Couldn't do it in football as possession changes too quickly.

I think the player should be off the field for as long as the play is held up. If he rolls around for 2 mins he should wait for 2 mins on the sIdelines that woUld stop any play acting

Yes they are but I think a physio has to take charge if available. I might be wrong though.

Yes, the importance of a quick and efficient response was proved last season.
