Maybe as I'm used to it but I genuinely don't even realise planes at all. More of a pest is the heaps of learner drivers taking their tests throughout the day when you're not at work!



The Fairway is where I spend a fair few of me Friday nights! I can literally see the DA from me front door n all - small world.

Not noticed any Eastern Europeans tbh - plenty up the road in Feltham, but Ashford is generally OK.... for now!

Wimpy's super size is a poor effort - nothing on Burger King up the road in Egham. Well worth the 5 minute drive to get the additional 500 calories for your money.

Burger Junction all the way Matty. Save money on the journey to Egham. Failing that if salmonella burger and chips is more your cup of tea, stanwell kebab will be just the ticket.

Train from Ashford requires ya to change at Clapham, about 50 min journey all in.

Wow - takes me less time by train (also changing at Clapham) from Hampshire.

Back on topic - lot's of fatties live there I heard. Avoid like the plague unless you want to queue for hours at all the fast food places.

Used to go to Rocky's by the airport for lunch when I worked that way. Chilli chicken burger was the nuts..

Must have been before I resided in these parts.

I was in Hounslow Village so never got over to Ashford much back then.

Gang warfare in the evenings, rife with prostitution, poverty issues, sewage in the streets, no bin collections, shocking smell... oh and low flying planes apparently that unload their toilet waste above the highstreet.... Apart from that it's a lovely place!

I do indeed remember the place but can't say I'm familiar with Andre though. When I was about 11 we threw a stink bomb behind the counter and got chased into Superdrug by some crazy Turkish looking fella - might have been him?

Got a lot of friends who live there (I used to live in Staines) and I used to drink in The Links (later Kings Fairway) and District Arms pubs. It's quite nice compared to Feltham, Hounslow etc. The only thing a few friends of mine are getting out of there because there is a massive influx of Eastern Europeans.

Another thing going for it is that it has a new Wimpy. :D

Now that is how to talk a place up.
