I know what your getting at Vblock but although its been two tough seasons I would not say both were a disaster; this one certainly has been no question about that but last season we achieved the objective and done what all newly promoted sides want to do we survived (don't matter how we done it we done it)

This season has been a disaster because after surviving last season it should have been Southampton, Reading and West Hams season to struggle and battle and with our investment we should have been safe with two or three weeks to go but it went spectacularly wrong from the moment Green threw one in the net, we have never recovered.

I don't think we can just right off last seasons achievement as a disaster I prefer to see that as a achievement/success but appreciate not everyone will see it from my point of view

There is nothing to suggest at all that Fernandes is with us to get an all purpose facility in London.

Give the bloke a chance Ffs

Anyway he has plenty of knowledge of concert venues so he'll be ok once he gets his new entertainment complex SORRY I mean QPR stadium

For us that would mean around 29k."

With our spending power over the last few windows we had a real advantage over most of the bottom half of the PL and we got it so wrong we turned money into a negative force instead of a positive one.

That is why our failure is even more spectacular.

Let's hope he really has learned.
Good post.....i have been saying in a couple of threads today it's not paying big money or wages that have messed us up ...it's who we gave it too.

^^^^. I.e. concerning Hughes, it was far from written in stone that he should end up as a spectacular failure.

No more mistakes where he turns us into a laughing stock and an embarrassment. Holding his hands up saying that he has been naive and had his "trousers pulled down" fixes nothing. He needs to learn from his mistakes so the jury is still out. If he is going to have another crack at it next season lets hope if he ****s it up again then thats his last go at it. And his attempt at an F1 team is pretty much like his attempt at a football team...MUST TRY HARDER. Nice bloke with plenty of money doesnt automatically mean a good Football Chairman...some people just not cut out for it.
Can't agree with this vblock none of it.You can't prove he doesn't have QPR's best intentions at heart. Yes we might be part of a multi use venue but we still benefit from it, and it ain't
going to happen any other way.
For me his only mistake was letting that Kia bloke talk him into employing the Rigg/Hughes management system that allowed him to sell QPR his players....his mistake was trust.
I get the feeling you don't want a bigger/better QPR, but i think we have to get bigger if we want to be taken seriously as a club

Well said! It do really hurt me to see how well Norwich and Soton respectively have done it on a strict budget. I take we have learnt our lesson now. :=):

He made more mistakes than trust Dave imo...Park was his signing, making Park Captain was his idea and i also believe he influenced signings such as Boswinga/Granero/Cesar/Mbia. He wanted "names" at the club to raise the profile and lured them by paying ridiculous wages that they couldnt say no to. They would never have come to the club otherwise. Ultimately it was paying stupidly high wages that then split the dressing room and created the divide that partly caused our relegation. He appointed a know nothing about football CEO in Phil Beard because of his "experience with the O2 Arena" and this numpty has been negotiating with the players and agents. Mistake after mistake which had led to probably our most embarrassing season ever where we have broken embarrassing prem records and have a team of useless lazy twunts. His constant PR tweets dont help matters ...but as long as he gives away a few season tickets then some fans think he's "Uncle Tony".

If Tony was as influential on the signings as you think mate then Hughes is even more of a prat for putting up with it and not walking and taking a stand. For me Park aside the signings stink of Hughes and his krony Kia. Hughes rated himself as a top manager who could work with big names well Hughes you proved that you could not

I honestly think Fernandes influenced certain signings mate...take Cesar for instance? we didnt need another goalkeeper but when he became available and was offered Tony thought about the prestige of a World Cup winner raising the profile of his project instead of thinking about the uproar it would cause in the dressing room. We havent been run as a football club. We have been run as a business by a businessman who knows nothing about football. Its all about profile, prestige, marketing and PR with Tony and it was always going to end up one way. Like i said i think Fernandes is a decent enough guy but that doesnt mean he is cut out to run a football club and hiring a plum like Beard as CEO isnt going to help him.
