  • Tottenham consider cashing-in on midfield star

Tottenham would reportedly consider selling Scott Parker during the summer transfer window, with former manager Harry Redknapp hoping to sign the England international to lead Queens Park Rangers' bid for promotion.

According to The Mirror, Spurs may cash-in on Parker should there be sufficient interest in his signature, and Redknapp has been touted as a potential suitor for the 32-year-old former West Ham talisman.

    Parker – surplus to requirements?

Both of our senior right-sided defensive midfielders have had their injury issues this season but the only fortunate aspect for the club is that neither Sandro nor Scott Parker were sidelined at the same time. Scott came back into the starting XI on a permanent basis after the Brazilian’s season ending knee injury at QPR but his performances have raised a fair amount of criticism from supporters.

Have a feeling we might get him. I would guess he'd want to stay in London as well, and has worked with HR.

We need a strong midfield for next season with so many games. We could feasibly have Faurlin Barton Diakite and Parker in the squad for central midfield.

Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'd be happier if diakite and Barton were not options...Barton is decent enough but courts publicity for all the wrong stuff..diakite is fruit cake who we should get rid of.. Harry doesn't rate faurlin which is odd given how often he played mbia...I'm sure Harry will have at look at loaning a couple from spurs or a lad like frimpong from arsenal...

Surely no way Scott Parker will leave Tottenham Hotspur for QPR

Why we don't see Scott Parker leaving Tottenham for QPR this summer.

Feel free to bookmark this page and point it back to me in a few months time, but I simply cannot see Scott Parker signing for QPR this summer.

Reports today have suggested the midfielder is being targeted by Harry Redknapp to lead their rebuild, and it would certainly be an ambitious move.

I like Scott Parker but the only way we should be bringing a 32 year old midfielder to the club is on a free. Paying a transfer fee for somebody with so few years left would be crazy. The other question is whether he would be dedicated to the cause. He has a good attitude in general but you have to wonder - he has been around the block a few times and would he really come here and care about us? Likely not. And we have enough of those players already. You know what they say about a fool and his money though...

We need to start building for the future. Scotty Parker, good player though he may be, does not fit the bill.
