I think what he is sayiing is that he would like to stay at OM which is not unreasonable since he has been there all season and from what I understand has played quite well. If he had been at QPR this season and we had gone down, he says it would have been different and he would have wanted to play in the Championship.
Having said that Marseilles do not have any money to pay his wages and if he wants to stay he will have to take a wage cut. He says he wouldn't mind that. However saying you do not mind that and actually accepting it is not the same thing.
So I think it comes down to whether or not Marseilles will cough up the amount he wants to get paid, otherwise he will be back at Loftus Road. If that happens I don't think he will refuse to play in the Championship.

Add to that, the fact that he obviously dislikes the club and fans, and has made it clear he won't be playing for us next year, as despite us paying his wages, he doesn't think our league position is something that should be inflicted on him.
And still there are some with 'battered wife syndrome' on here that still think he'll change, and that it's our fault he doesn't like us, and he needs just one more last chance and he'll show us how much he loves us......

Take the City situation out of it as that was a lot of things and he lost it obviously, however, thoughout the season he was clearly targeted by plenty of players trying to wind him up and he never bit once, and was imo, very calm throughout.

Once.... and he only reacted because of the occasion and realisation of what it might mean, ie relegation, letting everyone down etc. The previous comment gives the impression he's easilly wound up on the pitch all the time, which is clearly not the case.
