We must blend youth with a few older EXPERIENCED heads with the right attitude and Parker fits that bill perfectly . I remember when we were linked with him last year or the year before ( can't remember which ) and people on here were creaming their pants over it . Scott Parker would be a fantastic signing
Well said, I'm not the biggest fan of S. Parker but I have the same opinion. He'll work hard in the middle of the park and has a classy attitude..

Faurlin is that player. Derry could be backup.

The only difference is Faurlin not only wins posession (best stats in the prem for doing so by a mile before his injury) but he is equally useful playing creative passes as short posession retention passes.

If we wasted more millions on signing Parker another old past his best injury prone player, and paid him an inevitable huge salary and left Faurlin on the bench i would be seriously dissillusioned with the club even more so than i am now.

Of course Parker would be useful as a decent player, but imo he isnt what we need and would be a waste of money and spend half the year in the treatment room.

Was 2 yres ago. People were only getting excited becasue we hadnt signed anyone at that stage. He was at the time playing well (2 years younger and not always injured like he is nowadays it must be said), it was a show of Tony's intent and obviously QPR fans got excited for things to come.... alas we've signed bigger and better since and it aint worked.

Fair points....I'd forgotten Faurlin , if after the injury he is still the same player that's a good call

I was concerned HR may not want Faurlin after loaning him, but his comments recently said he'd be coming back and said he's a good player. I hope he sticks to it because imo he could be the key player next year and also use a good season to find his confidence again and become the player we all know he can be. I think in a midfield 4 with Adel / SWP and another CM he could be devestating, or even in a midfield 3 with Diakite and ano supplying the likes of Adel / SWP / Hoilett / AJ etc who would play in a front 3.

Exactly the sort of signing we need.

I think Faurlin was loaned out to regain fitness. It was a good move for us.

I don't really want parker unless it is sensible money, Derry did really well for us under Warnock and it was a shrewd move, but he's getting too old now.

If Faurlin has regained his speed, I would like to see him in the team.

No we need to stop signing big names when we have an abundance of them already who've not performed. More to the point, as per my post above we have good players who can play that position. Blimey if we wanted to force the issue we also have Barton ffs. WE dont need Parker, who will be injured more often than not. We already have AJ and Zamora on the payroll keeping the medical staff busy, do we need another...? Really!

I very much doubt Parker wants to play for us either.....
