The only difference is Faurlin not only wins posession (best stats in the prem for doing so by a mile before his injury) but he is equally useful playing creative passes as short posession retention passes.
If we wasted more millions on signing Parker another old past his best injury prone player, and paid him an inevitable huge salary and left Faurlin on the bench i would be seriously dissillusioned with the club even more so than i am now.
Of course Parker would be useful as a decent player, but imo he isnt what we need and would be a waste of money and spend half the year in the treatment room.

We must blend youth with a few older EXPERIENCED heads with the right attitude and Parker fits that bill perfectly . I remember when we were linked with him last year or the year before ( can't remember which ) and people on here were creaming their pants over it . Scott Parker would be a fantastic signing

No we need to stop signing big names when we have an abundance of them already who've not performed. More to the point, as per my post above we have good players who can play that position. Blimey if we wanted to force the issue we also have Barton ffs. WE dont need Parker, who will be injured more often than not. We already have AJ and Zamora on the payroll keeping the medical staff busy, do we need another...? Really!
